  8. not just arbtalk, but other internet forums that utilise that tapatalk software, if your into other internet forums that is..!
  9. yep got my calculations wrong:blush: 1 light year = 5,878,625,373,183 miles so 600 light years is 3,527,175,223,909,800 miles the speed of light is exactly 299,792,458 metres a second which = 670,616,629 Mph travelling at this speed over this distance, your right, it WOULD take 600years to get there, but...... I have since found out that we cannot just accelarate to the speed of light and reach maximum velocity, it will take on estimate anywhere between 10-15 light years to reach 98% speed of light and 10-15 to slow down again thus making the journey there or there abouts, 635-640 years to get there one other thing, when travelling at those speeds , things slow down by about a third, so 1 year aboard a vessel kepler 22b bound would feel like 3 years here on earth thus making it around 1900 years on earth before they got there...??!?!??! Unless we prove einstein wrong:001_rolleyes:

    gutted :(

It depends on which sector of the industry you want to work, doing a degree is essential for appropriate learning and proof of that study Even tree climbers in my opinion should have at least some basic acedemic knowledge of arboriculture and tree biology even if it isn't to degree level You can't just disregard degrees and say they are worthless because you are not interested in doing one, i agree that some are by far more important than others and there are some superficial qualifications out there but feel Arb isn't one:biggrin:
