  5. to be honest, i wasn't... It made me realise that i want to climb for a lot longer, i was getting fed up of it towards the end of last year and after getting laid off in december, i thought mmm yes, nice break, but after doing what ive done for the past few weeks and having a good ole scramble round in that big ole beech in the wet on friday made me realise that even if im not the fastest or the best, i know what i'm doing and i was meant to do it:thumbup: next thing to do is to go experience this job somewhere else, because the north west hasn't been overly kind the past few years and i want to do some inspirationa climbing jobs. Just gotta keep on at the missus now:biggin:

  23. It was good, apart from the extreme all day persistent rain:lol: Got some more days next week Sent from Rob's GalaxySII
  24. Had a wet day today, a really wet day.... Up a big beech, slimy, slippy, my ropes where hard to grip, green runny goo was running off them down my arms, especially when descending Put my anchor in from the ground and for every pull and thrust i only moved half the distance.... Yes i use DRT:001_smile: So, simple question i understand the merits, pros and cons of SRT, done my reading, eventually going to get a SJ for DRT and RW for SRT etc etc when money allows but, for all the reading i've done can't seem to find anything about working with SRT in the wet, is it just as bad as DRT? Can't help but feel i coudl've got the job done quicker if a wasn't faffing with my ropes every 10mins coz they where so damn wet! Thoughts please
