I would too lol! Anyway- i dont know what you're on about- I would NEVER have a landrover.....
  2. I am sorry, but I have understood less about this post than almost any other since i have been on arbtalk........
  3. They do all sorts- they just like making weird and wonderful vehicles........they're from north devon lol! As far as overloading is concerned......normally if there is alot of chip i do this: but sometimes i have to do this:
  4. Very very smart rig there!

It certainly sounds like you're having a ball out there Reg! Doing us Uk arbs proud!
  7. You get what you pay for:sneaky2:
  8. Hahaha they really DO have a terrible turning circle!
  9. Not worried about turning circle. I used to drive a 130 all the time and work with a guy who has one, and TBH there isnt enough difference for me to be bothered
  10. Ha ha saw that one the other day- awesome aint it?
  11. It already does lol. Actually it doesnt, as it has anti roll bar, rear helpers, uprated rear springs and the fattest Terra Firma shock you can get. I know what you mean though However i have had nigh on all my kit for a day in the roofrack and it doesnt seem to affect the handling that much, esp with the chip box full and the chipper up behind.
  12. I had thought about that. Stil not made up my mind. I already have the roofrack over the cab, but i hate climbing up and down TBH. Mind you, 14" high, as you say, you could get a whole load of gear in it, and it woud be dry. Hmmmm, food for thought.
  13. Just been servicing saws...found the top cover of the 362 snapped up the corner- about a 2" long split. Nothing a bit of evostick and gaffer tape cant fix though! Maybe this should be in the bodges thread lol!
  14. I find it easy....but then i find my 088 easy too!
  15. I think the 441 is the next up from the 362. If you want to stick with stihl then go for a 362- it is still a very good saw by any standards......i was just in love with my 361...it got liberated from the side of the road last december though......
  16. Haha- no i think a 3.25 cubic metre chip box is enough for any 4x4!
  17. The 361 is no longer available, and has been replaced with the 362. Although a good saw not as keen as the 361 IMO. Husky offer the 357 i believe which is a good tool, and have just brought out the 560xp, about which there is a current thread running on here describing peoples experiences so far. I run a 16" and sometimes an 18" on my 362. TBH i dont think it would handle a 20" as well as the 361 did!!
  18. Well this is partly what made me think about it. Until recently ALL 130s were just stretched 110s. I have mates who cut and reweld land rovers for off roading and what have you with no ill effects, and TBH if all i have to do is that, extend the fuel lines and loom and get a new prop then happy days.

+2 I came very close to buying a mog a couple of years back, but TBH having looked at a few, and worked with 2, i CANNOT see the point. They are cumbersome overpriced expensive not-quite-a-tractor-not-quite-a-lorry glorified chipboxes IMO. Unimog owners will swear by them, but for me I will stick to a defender and tow behind. But then I do have easy access to tractors with big trailers and forwarding equipment with operator for next to nothing, which maybe if i didnt, I would have thought more about a mog.
  20. Has anybody done this to their Landrovers? I have a 110 with an excellent chassis, too good to scrap, and only worth a few hundred second hand, but i want a box behind the cab, or possibly make it into a king cab?
  21. One of these makes the job infinitely faster too......land rover propshaft tool | eBay

Good stuff Reg. Love the editing at the end where the music fades out to just leave the sound of that last stem slowly creaking to the fall and bang.
  23. Nice video!
  24. £2.5k is rude i reckon. OKay you dont get as much as from private when you sell to a dealer, but even so that seems a bit poor!!!
