  1. Pain in the proverbials. I had heard it was going to happen about 3 months back, but had just bought a load of oregon and thought no more of it. Gutted.
  2. He he he...thanks for all your kind remarks guys. I chose that from over 300 that i took in total to get the right shot.
  3. Yada yada yada.....been there done that got the scarred bridge-of-nose and inability to see (i'm a reet sweaty bugger when i work) t-shirt.
  4. Go on jon- you know it makes sense. Whatever ir goes for thats the start price for the patio job.

  8. Jon- how can you resist that beast- its only down the road too!
  9. Arrived today. Thanks Justin, hopefully wont be getting my eyes rinsed at casualty on such a regular basis now!
  10. I have just got off the fone to my local office. Cornwall has recently changed from several local councils to one single county council, and i have submitted plans as normal to them, but there is either a new bod in the office or they have decided to become extra anal, so i am back down there right now to go through it with them. The last time was that i had apparently not put the species down........quercus ilex doesnt count???? The sketch i did is also causing problems. i think, having spoken to another tree bod locally, that they are after a seperate tree survey (i.e. not by me as the man doing the job) which if that is going to be the case from now on, then i reckon a lot of domestic work may be priced out of existence, esp as he was hinting that a seperate survey for each individual tree on the job sheet will need one! Not sure yet, about to go and find out.
  11. Yeah- thanks for that nick, shopping list now being compiled.. Brilliant videos.
  12. I dont know why you lot are still entering....the answer is 1670, and i have already won. :001_tongue:
  13. May i remind you, site moderator Collins, that this IS a public forum:sneaky2: :001_tongue:
  14. 1670. Can i have my t-shirt now please?
  15. That is about the bottom line- esp the emergency thing- it is something i need to see to, as there have been a few times when i have thought "lucky that caught in time"
  16. Well done mate- and what a beautiful part of the world. I grew up on the outskirts of Broadstone. You coul get there from miles around by looking for the monstrous Wellingtonia in the garden- must have been 10' DBH!
  17. My mate swears by wearing a set of ex-army Lightweights over his ballistics- gets years out of them, and if the crotch goes on the ballistics, who cares. It sort of comes down to whether you are up a tree to work on it or to show off the latest fashions in arb-ware. I get a good couple of years out of hi-flex stihls.
  18. It must be, the other ones affect one's eyesight and his typing is ok so far...
