  1. Jeez jltre this is getting boring. Leave it out mate. you were politeley asked to refrain from posting as your posts were/ are wholly inappropriate, and you retort with a comparison to chinese censorship? Come on mate!!!!!!!
  2. Good vid, great tune!!! Arkscratchromeoperryblackmaxlee:thumbup:
  3. Some big lumps and a fairly fragile looking pergola underneath! We were lucky enough to be able to extend the 3' wide working area below the tree by making a makeshift deck on the pergola next to us. The garden was very steep on various levels.
  4. It wasnt all nice weather........
  5. Some pics of a mac we took down this week. Very small drop zone. Not the biggest tree in the world- about 5' DBH and about 60' tall with a nice lean. It had been topped (NOT by me) in the past, but was basically on borrowed time. They are a very prevalent tree down here, but have a habit of giving up their hold as they are shallow rooted. This was situated over a very well used public path and a neighbouring property, so after much deliberation it was decided to remove. Thanks to BigT for his help, and to my superb groundy Chris who i wouldnt be without.
  6. My thoughts exactly Dave.
  7. Too right mate. Simplicity, beefiness and general ease of use/ servicing coupled with excellent ability is what gives vermeer the edge IMO.
  8. Now come on Pete- you know why it didnt stall- its a proper chipper!!!!
  9. Yeah its cool with really sharp knives, but on the big bits you have to operate the controls yourself to emulate the no stress, especially when the knives are dull. I keep meaning to replace mine, but always have something better to buy so it hasnt been done lol.
  10. I havent bothered replacing the no-stress on mine. It doesnt seem to need it that much.
  11. I have VERY minor spinabifida, which manifests itself as my 5th vertebra from the bottom is forward of where it should be, so from the side on the MRI scan you can measure an 89 degree bend in my spine, resulting in two disintegrated discs. It means I cannot carry anything on my shoulders, or run for more than about 50 yards, and after about 4 0r 5 days climbing I have to have a couple of days off work. It sounds alot worse than it is, I am sure.
  12. I am jealous. Mine doesnt leak water.
  13. You could try DSF. try this link, it should open a catalogue. They are very helpful too. http://www.dsf-technologies.com/upload/proddocspdf/proddocspdf_2_213.pdf?PHPSESSID=6fc37f0b4f124e5b14d3993721da0b87

  17. Was it the shop that was hit Nod? Either way its bad, sorry to hear it:(
  18. Although I had them for years I dont get it either. For me it was just what was the done thing at that time and place in my life. I think it was a sort of protest/ youthful rebellion against looking 'nomal' which is why I shaved them off as they were becoming very trendy. they have been found on egyptian mummies though, so have been around for a day or two.
  19. NIce and warmdown here in cornwall. No frost even:)
  20. Its because you havent got enough hair:laugh1:
  21. I would think that a hasp and padlock would be pertinent in such a use, and some holes drilled to release fumes too.
  22. There you go- sorted, get a Hilti helmet. I cut mine off in 2000 becase every body had them. here is an ancient photo from about 1991 when I was pretty crusty...... I didnt need a chainsaw helmet then though, so the pic is purely for entertainment:laugh1:
  23. An arborist who is in the procees of getting AA approval was advised that a chest freezer was acceptable to pass the AAAC requirements.
