  1. yeh live in cheadle hulme. should still get some big players, the team needs time to gel were a couple of players short of a team that can push for the top 3 . the banter is good but will all change sooner rather than later.
  2. Mozza im a Blue, this year was just a taster of wots to come LOL. Same old city Just remember " THIS CITY IS ARES ":001_tt2:
  3. wouldnt bother with that helmet mate very heavy and a questionable CE/EN Number as i dont think it can conform to two EN standards, thats my veiw from what ive seen but i may be wrong.
  4. CONGRATS MATE:thumbup:
  5. yeh bin out for a while was a thred already on here about it .Think it worked out cheaper to buy it all as spare parts than to buy as a kit.
  6. Your not getting ripped off thats just the full list price that is set by stihl.Granted you should get a bit of dis off your chain with you being trade. justin buys so much chain he can offer great prices which is fantastic but your local dealer might not .remember your dealer is trying to make a living just like everybody else i do agree he should give some dis tho.
  7. alllll rriiiiggghhhttt geeeeeezzzzzer hows things across the pond going ? hope all is well mate .not seen benny boy for a while is he due to to visit you soon? all is well over here apart from bloody ash cloud lol speak soon fella ,swedish:-)

  11. yeh could mod it but should of made it taller from the start. have had it on a log but its just not right . still does the job tho
  12. bloody hell it does work well, but if i could change anything it could do with being just a tad taller.
  13. i looked on fuelwoods site they have a device there which is like a metal piece of channel that pivots as i remember it was about £150 -£200 so i got it copied for £80 works a treat:001_tt2:
  14. they are special, the hook has been turned for a better/secure fitting . It is advised to wait for the propper handle i will make sure it goes out to the dealer on monday so you should see it weds/thursday ish. sorry for the mistake .
  15. yeah and stocks all products eg all electric machines and viking etc.
  16. thats not the case most dealers buy direct from stihl but 5 star dealers will sell to dealers that dont have a stihl account they may only be a husqy dealer etc.
  17. after reading some of these posts i agree with the local dealer thing .at the end of the day these people are there for you on the day you need that spare part asap to keep you going,it wont take long for that saw at say £400 to pay for itself they still have to pay wages like all of us and genral building bills etc. they should not be forced into making only, say 1% on a saw if they can make 20%. same as a tree jobs why make £50 if you can make £100 ?
  18. they will give just take a couple of weeks, also dont forget to treat them with bees wax or any other leather treatment
  19. hi jonathan it is up to you what ear defs you put on the helmet ,eg you buy the helmet then muffs then visor etc.the hi viz muffs are available so you need to take that up with your supplier, (also screws are supplied with every set) it is a pain when you dont get any answer out of them but keep on trying.
  20. as jonsie says yes they will fit.
  21. hi Lancstree the husky muffs are made by msa sordin just badged as husky. you have the left and right, ear defs on at the mo which have just come out.If you still have a problem you want the sordin HPE defs 31snr or the EXC @ 26snr these are the same as the huskys your used to.
  22. if you wear trousers say a 40 hour week if you do the maths over 8 months thats around 1,280 hours of wear and tear not to bad if you got an offer for them to be repaired f.o.c .That works out about £6.50 per week i think correct if im wrong maths not brill same thing with all our PPE it will only last so long, just my view.
  23. Also you say we need top quality products at a cheap price so when a pair of trousers or a rope is made do the manufacters just throw a few strands or a bit of protective material together and hey presto product finished? no we demand very high standards like CE EN etc......... they have to pay for that then maybe ansi for the us o then send them out to test etc... dont want keep going on but we need quality prods at exceptional standards if the standards were very poor you would b moaning about cheap shite end of for me im just going to GROW A PAIR.........
  24. not at all ,you wear and use gear that you can afford at that time to use as a comparison i as a POORER guy drive a vauxhall vectra thats 9 years old but i have the right to own a bmw M5 but i cant afford it ,so wot do i do complane to BMW and tell them they are rip offs because their cars are 50k more expensive than mine and i cant afford one. unfortunatly we just have to get on and deal with it ride the storm and hope prices come down.
  25. All the gear bought in within the industry is that price due to quallity just my thoughts are as followed: REF: Trousers. if you are to buy trousers you want confort ,light longlasting, durable trousers . eg.you buy stretch airs as andy said top quality but top end price made out of the best scholler material available BUT if you cant afford them then you get a LESS quality scholler material but still a very good trouser and go for the Hiflex and so on. Just bear inmind that you wear these 8 hours a day 5 days a week or maybe 6or7 for 12 months of the year in hours = roughly 1920 HOURS........... There is not much maintanance to do for trousers unlike your chipper so would you run your chipper for 1920 hours without changing the OIL , or even checking it ? REF:BOOTS Again same principle they get hammered on your feet all that time in the conditions we all work in so you get wot you pay for ROPE: Would you buy a chinese rope without a CE mark because its 50 quid cheaper than a good quality rope thats gone through a proper test and bears the famous CE MY ANSWER no. so in my eyes everything has its price at the end of the day its all down to wot price we put on our LIVES,FEET,LEGS ETC.... Sorry if ive repeated myself or others but just had to get that off my chest...
