  1. How hot is it? I have worked in 42c and that was pretty uncomfortable.
  2. Fimblesaver for top anchor, 2 stiched prussic loops of different sizes with a revolver in each being prussic they are more versatile than a sling, an ali ring with krab, a small throwbag, pantin and chest harness are worn throughout climb
  3. The id has an anti panic feature which the rig does not have, I think that is handy in a rescue situation.
  4. Get the bands farmers use to castrate sheep
  5. A figure 8 with a footlock Prussic above it is pretty simple as a base anchor
  6. Its pretty rare i actually use a base anchor but when i do this is what i use, to show people who may not have understood, if the second climbing line will be too short doubled it can be used single and a simple ring added in order to take some friction away the same is acheived with a figure 8 or running the rope through a lower d on a harness for example.
  7. One alpine, above the base tie, then the rescuer runs their climbing system through a krab in the knot they can pick you up with this system and the undo your base tie so there is no need to cut rope. And liwer you by realsibg slack in their climbing system. And a heads up about gri-gris tgey arent rated to be placed on a fixed anchor point and have been known to slip under pretty low loads.
  8. The arbpro rigging winch comes with a clutch and that's been around for 2 years now I believe.
  9. Yeah mate, something like that, look for the merrel or vibram ones they are pretty good.
  10. I have tried it and they aren't as grippy as you would think, if you want to have feeling try some barefoot trial shoes loads of companies make them and they come with a lot of grip.
  11. If its just to hold your harness up a brush cutter shoulder strap might help if connected tex to one of your d rings
  12. I love my airline, is the 8oz available or is it only the 10?
  13. It's pretty easy to choke a ring and ring all you have to do is double wrap it works on smooth stems aswell here another thread with pic https://www.google.com.au/search?safe=off&hl=en-GB&tbm=isch&q=choked+cambium+saver&spell=1&sa=X&ei=QMqQUZiRCoq1iQeny4DABQ&ved=0CDgQvwUoAA&biw=768&bih=928#biv=i%7C81%3Bd%7CxNKbN6fe9cAM-M%3A.
  14. Fimblesaver. Far superior ring and ring Imo
  15. Deet breaks down nylon so just a heads up if your using it neat good clothes or climbing equipment.
  16. I was a tech judge at the Australia tcc yesterday and was not allowed to climb with the wrench and I wasnt even a competitor, pretty sure if its isa sanctioned the same rules apply across the board. Which for now are a no. Sucks balls
  17. That looks pretty big, how much rope does it take again
  18. You dont need the second karabiner it adds unnecessary slop into the system you can fit all onto one krab depending on krab size, the oceans thether was deaigned specifically to go on a hitchclimber single eyed thethers work best with fixed cheek pulleys.
  19. Ocean vectran 6mm is a core dependant double braid I beleive ao its either locking brummel with the eyes exposed or a class two doible braid.
  20. It doesnt have a ce mark I believe so finding it will be difficult globe by teuflberger is incredibly static and is sold in the uk will snap your back if you fall on it though (not literally but it will hurt)
  21. Petzl airline is better than zing it, I have both and always pick up the airline over the zing it.
