  1. well my advice to you is to find an english language site if it gets to you that much lol , bit of O.C.D there i think !
  2. climbing from both ends of your rope does have its place but i prefer to climb with one main line with a 10 meter short rope oh and carry a strop as well , it makes qetting into the tree faster and quiet often having that short rope can really aid you when getting out on a long branch , one of my ex staff would only climb on one end of his rope and a 2 meter strop , the shame was that he was not working at a productive pace at all whic then led to him trying to take short cuts when cutting . its all about striking a ballence when climbing
  3. i could not agree more , i had the same problem with the way one of my groundsmen were lowering so i talked him through it calmly , that way he didnt get flusterd by me it took time but we built up confidence in each other and now work as a team ,
  4. could you pm me with betails of mog and price please mate ?
  5. if only i had known about you having that bit of kit on monday , so are you selling one of your mog's then
  6. what does that mate ???
  7. thats good to hear lee , well if ever i need any air pick work doing i will be sure to call you , is that a ranger tiper you have ??
  8. personally i think he should forget the saws and buy a mog , oh and come an work with me in cornwall ,
  9. oh righ cool i had only ever heard of bartlets doing it glad there is a local company doing it
  10. i would agree guys , you should not ned to provide your own saw at college and if you are expected to do so then i would find a better college to go to that can provide the equipment, whos to say that you find you dont like tree surgery and that your now left with a load of expensiv kit thats of no use to you , take your time mate
  11. the only people i have heard that do it and do it well is bartlet tree expert
  12. i could not agree more masterh ,
  13. sorry bob i know the truth is some times a little booring but hey . could be wors thing i guess
  14. also the ua distances often are not the same as the utillity company , like down here in cornwall with wpd there systems of work and distances are not the same as set out by ua , if your not autherised by your local utility company to work around there powrlines and equipment then i would leave well alone tbh
  15. how about a bouncy castle with 3 turrets , a million hedgehogs and bill oddy dressed in drag ??? ha ha
  16. i feel its all about each persons ability , i would not ask anyone to do anything i could not do my self , take today for instance , we have been taking down a v large monterey pine , one of the limbs extended 45-50 feet away from the main trunk , there was no way of climbing it and cutting it safely decause of its location within close proximity tp buildings and the way in which it was situatedso we decided to use the crane we had on site and man basket , i was not proud to have to resort to that but it was the safest way to do it .
  17. wise up ??? at no point did i say every tree is climbable , however most tres are , i would not climb a tree that i feel i can not take dow in a safe controled manor , i strongly reccomend that you get some more experience before making such foolis comments , i knew a tree surgeon that refused to climb a tree that was in his oppinion not climbable , how ever it was in a dangerous state and a risk to the general public so i as the company i worked for at the time was asked to take it down , i climbed it and took it down , there were no risks taken and was taken down in a safe controled manor . the guy who said it was to dangerous to climb has since got out of tree work and sold what was left of his buisnes
  18. i think he will fortify the boarders with armed lookouts every 300 yards . oh and a big one way exit door back to europe lol
  19. nice picures , looks like a peech of a job
  20. well swb its down to you mate , what policies are you going to bring in mate ??
  21. hiya give brandon hire a call as they hire an air spade/ pick , i know it aint much fun doing it your self but hey if it saves the money you have to pay out then go for it
  22. hmmm all sounds a bt heated to me ,its ok if you bottled it , we cant all be pro's nor can we all be happy working on big trees but hey at least you tried it , there are some that cant Next time you get one like that shrek give me a shout i am more than happy to come up from cornwall and do it for you
  23. at least with swb as pm the goverment would stop wasting money on war and take a more liberal stance on porn , tampax oh and not to be forgotten free road tax for all mog owners , oh and chippers would be allowed to run on red , in fact lets try and get him elected for the AA
  24. in all fairnes those comments your talking about are out of order , i thought you were meaning my dry humor lol , but sorry if you took offence .
