  1. make sure the tanks full of oil ,prob needs a good service
  2. it could be large bits of chip getting stuck under ther bottom roller,
  3. check for any ware on the splines & roller box,big logs may be forcing the roller on to the casing if ther is excess waere ,on the ensd of each roller is a carreier fitted with a nylon bush if ther worn the roller drops ,
  4. chip in get the lad sorted,take some pics & send them to his mum

  12. if you change yr blades on a regular basis ,keeping them sharp yr bearings will last a lot longer simples , i think some arbs are just slack ares lazy wen iyt comes to blades ,then mone wen they have to change bearings ,tw have a chipping life of between 30mins to 10hrs max before they need a change ,ther cheap enough to buy so just have a few SHARP sets ,
  13. got some s/w in the yard felled in oct,its 25%, thats @ a 3rd of the way in the lenth

  16. felled an ash stem. them ground it out ,then did a we white hornbeam stump,then a chap in a brand new jd council loader tractor very kindley took all the wood away, due to the fact the fking computer in my truck decided it would have the day of ,so had to nurse it bk to yard to ,to get the dmax
  17. would not just be simpler to use the f/8 in its basic gise ???
