  1. The sooner you go to Austraila the better. Any female Arb climber or groundie would whoop your arse, wouldn't get injured doing it or make stupid comments about it. If the moderators remove this post thats fine!
  2. Rover thats Quality. Bloody marvellous, fair play
  3. Its a very capable tractor/winch combination used mainly for skidding smaller timber up rivers channels or canal embankments to where we can process it. I didnt upload this picture because the bloke that is stopping the log from floating away (not log surfing ) has Ginger hair !
  4. Its only a little tractor (Landini 45Hp) but it does what I need. Igland 4201 winch bloody brilliant! tried upload a video but no joy:thumbdown:
  5. My Treemotion is alot more comfortable than my old Weaver, once I set it up to suit me, and its much kinder on the family tools too.
  6. Cut corners and things go wrong. Good luck in Oz.
  7. Gloves is preference, and so is common sense when working with thorns. If you were holding a back handle saw properly why didnt your little finger or knuckle get it?
  8. I spend an awful lot of my time involved in canal/river tree work working off of boats or in/over the water or as a tug pilot. However much more interesting we got called out to assist in dismantling a "fake" sailing barge "Brunel" next to Paddington Station.
  9. Just got two Caritool's in post from Jonsie. Not tried them yet but the large one is really large but the small one looks usefull!
  10. Hi Jon Nows its chipped/tuned it pulls like it should do and the power now suits the gear ratios. The foam on the seats has collapsed after 70K, its had a new gearbox, transfer box, engine mounts, various electric things replaced..... IMO I prefer the TD5 as a workhorse and the Puma is a lifestlye chelsea tractor due to stupid changes like no battle flaps for fresh air , you cant put your cuppa on the dashboard, or the ability to thaw out your cold feet or demist the windscreen on a wet day and the flimy bonnet that buckles when you walk on it even with the chequer plate:thumbdown: Rant over.
  11. Apart from Staff, vehicles, machinery, Joe Public, Parish Councils, Fountains and nesting birds the week was great:001_huh: oh yeah the Loler bloke didnt turn up this afternoon so we went to the pub instead that had a lovely barmaid and beer:thumbup1:
  12. I still prefer my old TD5 that I did 150k hard miles in with less workshop/garage time than the Puma had in 6 months
  13. looks very tidy. I really miss my TD5.
  14. IPAF ( International Powered Access Federation IPAF | English ) have changed the types of classification that where in force a few years ago. So ANY platform with outriggers is now on one ticket (static boom 1b) that will cover trailer, vehicle, spider etc that has no height restriction as far as I am aware, but to use a mobile scissor lift, vertical personnel platform is 3a, or a self propelled boom is 3b which are separate tickets.
  15. I've signed up for it. Bloody commuters/politicions should stay put in the office or under the rocks they come from.....
  16. I've used the same Weaver for 5 years or so but I have just retired it for a TreeMotion. You can't put your legs behind your head in a Weaver (figure of speech:001_smile:) but it did me fine for years, but I doubt a TreeMotion will last as long? I hope I am proved wrong.
  17. The scumbags are around here like a rash at the minute! I will keep eyes and ears open for it.
  18. Our Smeg is smeg!!! its still better than doing it yourself
  19. Best thing to do with a Door Knob is close that door and open another!
  20. Nearly £75 Million :thumbup1: Good vibes to all those that did something. When do we take our nose's off?
  21. Very good:thumbup: I'll pledge a fiver but I dont want to see you doing the do:lol:
  22. Will you get sponsored for that?
  23. Good effort on the run. Couldnt breath wearing the nose or drink my coffee!
