  1. Out of interest how have you got on with Spectrum in terms of communication? I know someone who was interested in one of these machines but has given up on both them and the dealer as neither of them would get back to him - not so much as a phone call. And he tried several times.
  2. Wouldn't a bucket/plastic trough be easier like was done at farm gates through Foot and Mouth?
  3. It does thanks. I needed it didn't I. ?
  4. You've had rain you lucky so-and-so! ☺️
  5. Got it now - thanks. Sorry for being so thick. I think I was blinded by the fact I took the fold down off my Jo Beau years ago due to permanently injuring both elbows on it (bits of smashed off cartilege floating about now!)
  6. So where is the infeed?! Does that silver handle fold down to knee height?
  7. Excellent again. I'd be happy to see house martins, yet alone sand martins. Where are the martins and swallows? I've seen maybe 30 of both species combined this year. There simply are none. What's happened to them?

    Air cannon

If we're looking for legal definitions the definition of a firearm is simply 'a lethal barrelled weapon of any description from which any shot, bullet or missile can be discharged'.
  9. Quicker surely to just anchor on an end stump if it's big enough and keep that anchor. Start at the stump furthest away so that your rope shortens as you progress down the line and you don't have to manually pull out more for each subsequent stump.
  10. I walked the scenic route from Maum to Maam Cross last year; what a great walk and you are so spoilt with your views. Jealous!
  11. ...had mine since late 2012 and still love it. Anything smaller than firewood goes through it and I can manhandle it up and down ramps singlehanded. Taking the chipper to the tree and not vice versa is such a pleasure!
  12. Thank you! Very nice.
  13. Agreed. Top turtle.
  14. That square black plastic piece? I see now that the so-called barn doors don't actually fold. Not to be picky - really I try not to be - but that looks like a tiny infeed aperture.
  15. Any idea what add-on I may need to see them? All I get is the tiny jpeg logo in the middle of a large blank window.
  16. Goat willow. As someone said the other day it's by far the most requested 'ID please' species on here!
  17. Where do you put the material in?! I saw the open barn doors in pic 1 and thought that was a great idea instead of a fold down hopper but then the back of the machine looks to be closed off in pic 3.
  18. Tulip - Liriodendron - isn't poplar except by nickname in the US (Rainbow poplar): it's from the Magnolia family. Hence in the UK it's not pop at all. Confusing and a good demonstration of why English plant names are often not clever.
  19. You're a very creative accountant!
  20. And charged how much extra? ?
  21. I see loads of D40s! Haven't had mine checked yet and I'm not worried as I don't overload it or load it unevenly and last year I had it waxoiled. But I will have it checked.
  22. Amazing that the tree hasn't mysteriously died suddenly...
  23. Out of interest as a D40 owner (King Cab) was that a Double Cab on a plate between 08 and 11 (I think)? I may well be wrong but I seem to remember those being the relevant vehicles for rotting and potentially breaking chassis.
  24. A quick search on Google Images reveals http://www.nhm.ac.uk/natureplus/thread/7128
  25. Nasty. The 064 found this one in the middle of a yew recently 4' from the ground.
