  1. that picture is actually my living room james:001_tongue:
  2. you will be getting the hang of it then mark:001_smile:
  3. this little beauty told me i was her first:scared1:
  4. slash cut them and torpedo them straight down and leave them in there, it will only be the outsiders that have one sided growth, and if they are scary skinny stick on your spikes:001_smile:
  5. what do you recomend as a virus sweep steve, the wife informs me ours ran out ages ago.
  6. i didnt get any of that, well maybe the blowing fan bit:001_smile:

  8. it was a good day for museums dave, spitfires are cool.
  9. i drove into a recycling place today on the way to glasgow, i drove in, i have a vw transporter with signwriting, plus wife and 2 kids. i ask where i park he told me vans werent aloud in, i told him it was old clothes, didnt matter i would have to go to the main place, 5 miles away. i said nothing as it was on my way anyway, but what a little jobs worth. so we drove into the main place, whirlwinds of litter and polythene everywhere, 2 guys sitting on deckchairs growling at the vans and makeing it very obvious they were writing our numbers down.
  10. i just make the money mate, and let the accountant do the paperwork. but i name my accounts for what they are for. i have business, personal, alexander, stewart, tax, vat, properties and deposits. i keep it simple and relateable.
  11. i have never done a crane job, plenty hiab stuff but never a crane, i have watched loads of vids, reg's are certainly the most smooth. i watch the vids where one guy goes up, then comes down the other stays up the tree, one s where a single guy will bust a gut and the crane will just lift and lower. if it were me i would work with an adjustable chain and let the crane put me about the tree, take up the slack then cut, when it is removed, wait till he comes back chain on, attach to chain, lower me to where the chain allows, take up the slack then cut, i wouldnt kill myself trying to get to tips when the magic skyhook could do it for me. this theory is on monster beeches and the like. :001_smile:i am with edd, but havent done one so maybe i am missing something
  12. it was more like autumn here today:001_smile:
  13. are you just looking to name your account on paper, or have you opened a new account at the bank?
  14. my work radius isnt far, approx 10miles. all my drop off points for chip and timber are on farms and horse arenas usually on farms. the mog ticks the boxes. if i pick a job up further away, i know loads of guys with van and tow behinds, i had a job the other day with a lot of stuff to remove, the drag was an easy 100yards and there was a lot of stuff, i struggle to find keen lads to drag brash so i told the customer the difference in price if she kept the chip. so called wee rony, he popped along with the tracked chipper. 1 m drag. job done. i have said it before, if it has an engine, i like it, each piece of kit has its uses, there is no point owning it all, if wee rony needs a mog or roofmount i am always available for him.
  15. the one for the crane is a button mate, so no wiggling possible:thumbdown:but the pressure is on the attachment, still a pain. not exactly quick hitch:sneaky2:
  16. a fine thread folks:001_smile:
  17. 2 ropes are excellent on tall leggy stuff with not much of a centre, positioning is so much easier, i love the floating about feeling. managing your ropes well is a must.
  18. i bet max can swing a cat in your backgarden, mrs shrek is very jealous.i like the tree house mate
  19. The newer "quick fit" links are like a bigger version of an airline and are supposed to make life easier by just pushing together but can be an absolute pig if there is any residual pressure in either side of the hydraulics. they certainly can, i always have to take the spanners to my new ones to release the pressure:mad1:
  20. reg is a master at inventing suttle fancy gizmos:001_smile:
  21. if they want it they will get it, bad news yet again.
