  7. i learnt that not long after i started climbing on a big ash, i was scared to death and wouldnt go far enough away from the stem, too the saw right out my hand, luckily i used to unclip the saw for cutting when i first started:blushing:its the way i was shown by my boss before i get a bashing for it:ohmy:

  9. i have 2 sliding d's, so its a matter of adding a carabina. simples. if you are on a pole then swinging into pegs isnt going to happen, if it does then stay a bit sharper, you will only do it once:001_smile:

  12. if you are on a pole, then leave a peg every 10 feet, as long as it isnt too level, or just chocker your side strop, clip your line into it and off you go,

  14. thanks jamie, i wont be touching it, my mates a mechanic so is wondering what holds the pump to the chipper, is there a spline that runs right through it, or is it just bolted on. he knows his stuff but would like a head up if he could.

  22. if its dry it will burn, splits really easily, i was doing 20 foot legths, 3 feet across with the woodcracker. smells lovely.
