  1. thats an awesome idea huck, something you would think would only add a couple of hundred quid onto something like this, but somehow when you call it a woodchipper they add about 4k onto the bill:001_tongue:
  2. i wouldnt want to run a 4 stroke at an angle mark just incase it doesnt like it, the hopper isnt a problem at all, but i would like a little step to stand on for tracking about, and this could double up for the shorter gentleman
  3. as long as it can be done so you cant see the screws, or fixings. i would hate to waste your work, i love the natural look. what do you reckon?
  4. i think that bit will be there to keep your arm a certain length away from the blades, but if it isnt and it just there for manouvering then i could take it off, but i dont want to risk it without finding out from greenmech, i will ask peteb he will know:001_cool:
  5. thats spot on ian, how will i attach it to my brick work??i dont want to make a mess of it, the wife says its great. i will pm you now:thumbup:
  6. you can get a laser guided gutter repairer frank, sweet:thumbup:
  7. sits higher david, on the flat it is ok for us taller lads, on that little banking i chipped on the top side because the material was curly dead crap so needed more attention, straight javlin stuf wont matter, but i have a brush there now to act as a pokey stick so it was fine, but i can see that getting chipped soon, lol:blushing:
  8. chipping speed is definately slower, and if you are taking this to a job with 2 hyper drag rats you will get frustrated, but you dont need 2 drag rats when you have this, one will do or like me do it yourself, just a different approach. it is what it is, you will only find one of these little machines benificial if you are trying to minimise labour, cost, and removal of arisings. but the chip quakity is excellent bob, the only stuff it doesnt like is really dead small stuff, like those 2 conifers in my last pic. but it is for the chickens to play in so doesnt really matter.
  9. wow a chipper on tracks that cost 4k, is narrower and lighter than anything else i can find on the market, it has thunderbird capabilities and weighs under 300kgs( i think)
  10. thanks andy, i want someone to make me up a chip body and towing eye aswell. i could go to the job, shuttle the chip out in ton bags with the barrow, lift them on with the lorry which i can sell easily, ship out the timber bagged aswell and tow in the chipper. but hopefully most jobs will keep the arisings. oh and i would like out riggers on hinges too, for working on angles, they could be pulled out and reduce the risk of chipper going for a roll.. it is a beef farm johny, i just have a container at it and enough room for logs.
  11. i have seen the mini forwarder in action, fantastic little machine, couldnt beleive where it was and what it was lifting, i think one would be excellent with a chipper on it, great for site work and sensitive areas, cut down on labour bills aswell
  12. youch, is that loads of deliveries mate?
  13. well gloria got a set of tracks today, its a bit hash bash with tie straps and stuff, but will get me by for now, ideally i would love it on a rotating plate or something of the likes and bolted to that..

  15. a similar outfit just drove by my house there, a fancy van with a picture of a guy up a tree with a saw, specialist tree surgeons, they slowed right down to look at my van. i have just locked my van there..
  16. dont put the winch on till you have it set up then, or am i missing something mark??or are you really missing something:001_tongue:
  17. i was trying to work out what was in the bears hands in your second bear pic, then i realised it was this little chap, that is fantastic. it looks real. you have a talent there mate. would you be interested in selling that??
  18. and why not mr tom??does it harm the precious milly timber??or just the saw might hit it factor:001_smile:
