  1. Finished my 3.5km track yesterday. I’m glad I kept the easy bit till last.
  2. Morning Pete, snows back with us. Managed to finish my job yesterday as the snow started, about 5 miles on a Forestery track out the hills back to main rd and then home through some high spots so was a bit sketchy with Robo on the trailer. I heard the little council tractor plough and gritted doing the pavements so must slippy out there. Council trees for the rest of this week and there’s a truck don’t half a mile from the job so we’ll be starting in there.
  3. Morning, last day of the current Robo job. Hoping to get done and home for early afternoon, after a truck stop breakfast.
  4. Morning, wet here after a warm dry weekend. Robo day today and hopefully collect my new dry suit as I soaked my last 1 in diesel by not putting Jerry can lid on properly!
  5. Morning, fresh morning here. A day of pottering trying to not work.
  6. Happy Birthday Doug, I’m just 10 months behind you, brain of an 18 year old, body of a 70 year old 😂. Say hi to Tom from me and have a great day. milder here, not been out yet but I’m expecting 6 or 7 degrees. Heading for truck stop breakfast then some Robo work then off the weekend.
  7. Morning, -8 here. Clear and frosty.
  8. Mogs been earning it’s keep lately
  9. Morning, mega frost here. My Ifor Williams is white looking out the window, I’ll see the temp when I get in the jeep. I need to dress up a boggy wee site after yesterday so frost is good.
  10. Morning, looks dry outside. Just some more tree house shrapnel to tidy up and move then sort through it all on the tip site to salvage what we can for firewood and re usable timber. Forecast is to get colder again. An easy Tuesday me thinks.
  11. Morning, gusty through the night here and still blowing. I plan to sit in the digger today but that could all change.
  12. Afternoon gents, having a day off here for the first time in a while. Went to the pub last night for a few so bit fuzzy today! The snows melting and Berts not reached us yet.
  13. Hope the kids get well soon. morning. Snow here and cold. Last day of the tree house, pole felling today then next week I’ll get it all out and away.
  14. Robinson Cruso was behind on the rent mate! another dump of snow last night and the schools are shut. got on well yesterday.
  15. My kitchen smells of diesel as I stuck my gloves on there this morning. About 3-4” of snow here. Bought myself some proper work boots yesterday, Helly Hansen with the Cobra twist locks, the old rigger boots weren’t cutting it at -8 trudging around in the damp. Back to the Tree House demo today. This is how we left it on Monday.
  16. Morning -6 here and wish I’d fitted the switch to work my heated seats!! baltic
  17. Mine was on the hitch plate but was always getting damaged, on the boom is much better. I had a Cat308 with 1 there. you can see it on this pic. 4 in from the grab, 2 back to cab.
  18. Morning. We’ve a huge tree house to take down this week in the local adventure park, tight drop zone so it’s death by a thousand cuts. I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of sharpening, bought a load of blades for the reciprocator saw so I’ll see how that does. Have a good day guys
  19. Just get an electro valve and stick it on the boom and you get a foot pedal. I worked with 1 on my Cat for 8 years and 2 on an old white cab JCB 3CX, you can make it work.
  20. If you know of a local marina( I used to live on the coast) they’ll have a guy and van. Yachts are bad for it.
  21. I just remembered, i got a company who clean out Boat engines gunk. I’m sure they got in under the seat and could flush it out and suck all the crap out.
  22. Morning, sorry to hear that Doug, Vets are not what they used to be. snowing here a wee bit and 0 degrees off to dig up a water supply to help a plumber
  23. Morning, up and away yesterday sharp and forgot to sign in. Had a good day though on the west coast. Heading back north today to carry on with current job. I hear weathers to break next week so should make the most of T shirt November.
