  2. Afternoon, 9 degrees here. Winds really picking up. Forecast is snow this New Year so that should make it feel more like winter. Pottering Sunday here.

  4. Morning, back to work for me too for a couple of days. Mild and dry here.
  5. Merry Christmas guys, dry and mild here. I’m up and waiting for the boys to appear. It’s my youngest 16th birthday today. I remember posting his birth on here like it was yesterday. Have a good day everyone.
  6. Morning, it happens Doug. Mate got £85k put on credit cards while he sat in a pub in London. He got most of it back, professional hit. Don’t beat yourself up.
  7. Morning, storm didn’t come to much last night. Touch of snow and frost here.
  8. Morning, gusting high winds just now. Heading out at 8am with my climber to remove some hazard dead wood over walkways at the local adventure park. Hopefully the winds brought them down over night.
  9. Morning, not signed in for 2 days due to taking a bit of wood to the face from the Robo. Helmet on and visor down but the force did the damage. I was in what I thought was a safe place to stand but a bit came out like a boomerang. A trip to A n E and luckily no permanent damage. 1 cm cut across my pupil and a sore eye socket. So I’ve upgraded my helmet. Stay safe folks.
  10. Morning everyone and BusWee or Weebus? heading to Aberdeenshire to start a Robo job. stay safe.
  11. Morning all, ended up not going to the Xmas works day out with the young ones. Doug hope the person in question is going to be ok. Things can change in a second in this game. Glad you all pulled your experience and training together to get things done.
  12. Morning, having a lazier week this week and forgot to sign in yesterday. Thanks for all the cards and well wishes from everyone that was concerned about my absence🤔😂 still freezing here, yesterday took a bit of thawing out to get going. After -6 things just don’t want to play. Had to get the customer to put the kettle on to thaw out the hydraulic couplers for grab. It’s to get mild on Sunday and then rain next week. Got the Highalnd tree cutters Xmas do this afternoon, all the guys that work together, subbies that pull together. I’m driving so I can escape after pudding, let the younguns do their thing.
  13. Morning and Happy Birthday Shaunpaul, cold frosty morning here. We had -8 yesterday and didn’t rise above -4 all day I believe. A day of work prep and looking at a tree that’s about to fall on a house.
  14. Morning, cracking day here yesterday and looks like the same today. Hard frost through the night, -8 I think again and could be that just now, I’ll find out when I venture to the jeep. Girlfriends grandads funeral today, he was 80 and had a great life so a celebration of his life and he’ll get laid to rest on a cold frosty morning close to where he was born in a Highland Glen by the river. Then back to the local hotel.
  15. Morning, had Sunday dinner last night with my in-laws. Lamb! What a feed, 2 portions then 2 puddings! Slept like a log!
  16. Morning chaps, calm cold morning here. We got a bit of a battering but nothing compared to the south west from what I hear.
  17. Morning, horrible wet n windy day here!
  18. Morning guys, heading to put Hilux into Toyota to sort a headlight washer problem and have a wonder round Inverness. Need to get a black suit for a funeral, so I’ll be back waiting in Toyota within 45 minutes I reckon after breakfast and Slaters. Strong winds and rain through the night here.
  19. Morning, happy birthday then Pete! no idea what it’s like outside, think it’s dry! Crazy mild last night.
  20. Finished my 3.5km track yesterday. I’m glad I kept the easy bit till last.
  21. Morning Pete, snows back with us. Managed to finish my job yesterday as the snow started, about 5 miles on a Forestery track out the hills back to main rd and then home through some high spots so was a bit sketchy with Robo on the trailer. I heard the little council tractor plough and gritted doing the pavements so must slippy out there. Council trees for the rest of this week and there’s a truck don’t half a mile from the job so we’ll be starting in there.
  22. Morning, last day of the current Robo job. Hoping to get done and home for early afternoon, after a truck stop breakfast.
  23. Morning, wet here after a warm dry weekend. Robo day today and hopefully collect my new dry suit as I soaked my last 1 in diesel by not putting Jerry can lid on properly!
  24. Morning, fresh morning here. A day of pottering trying to not work.
  25. Happy Birthday Doug, I’m just 10 months behind you, brain of an 18 year old, body of a 70 year old 😂. Say hi to Tom from me and have a great day. milder here, not been out yet but I’m expecting 6 or 7 degrees. Heading for truck stop breakfast then some Robo work then off the weekend.
