  1. Evening gents, hope everyone’s well. -7 at night, around 0 through the day today, misty and slippy! The wee one is 4 weeks old tomorrow.
  2. Merry Xmas everyone! -6 here. Hope everyone has a good day.
  3. Morning, -2 here. I thought it was Tuesday! 😂
  4. Cold and frosty here. Eldest is coming home for Xmas and some jobs to look at after the Big Shop.
  5. Morning gents, a fine crisp weekend here, blue sky and the feeling of winter. I got a good nights sleep last night, breakfast and a walk up the river with the dog. Now back to wrap my boys presents and maybe even string some lights up on the front of the house.
  6. Morning gents, monsoon here! Has been all night. I know because my night shift started at 1am 😂.
  7. Morning, sorry to hear about your mate Stubby. i went back to work yesterday after 2 weeks of basically living and sleeping on the couch , it didn’t take long before I seized up and twanged something in the back of my leg , 😂. Went to bed at 8pm, started my baby night shift at 4am, fed and she went back to sleep at 5am. Luckily my nephews out grounding today and shifting the timber so I’ll point at stuff when I go in at 9am.
  8. Morning gents! That’s the wee 1 2 weeks old now, last night was her first proper feed and back to sleep night so I’m off to work today locally. Windy and rain blustering through.
  9. Clam shell inspiration! I’ve never thought of that before!
  10. afternoon guys, wet, windy, blue sky all in 1 here! really stormy last night! we have a routine now, im on the 3am onwards. Wee one is settling better so managing to get an hour or so sleep in between then and 7am. She's doing great so thats the main thing.
  11. It would be easier but it’s what equipment is available and how it works. The shears are fixed in place with 3-4 big bolts and nuts. So taking on and off is a pita. Larger shears for larger machines are available with retractable shears on a button but Ive never 1 for the mini diggers. Hopefully wrong!
  12. Morning, good nights sleep here. Awoke fresh at 5am which 2 weeks ago would have been a crazy thing to say for me! Going to do some chores, swap some attachments then meet the boys then taking the wee 1 for her hearing check. Dry and mild here. Have a good 1.
  13. Totally agree, my boys are 20 and 17 now and had breathing problems for the first few years of their life’s so slept on edge!
  14. blue Skys here then passing heavy showers, boys have a dead wood job in a sheltered woodland with coffee and warmth every 1.5 hours. needs must! I was a zombie yesterday but back feeling energised today.
  15. Morning! 😴😂
  16. Morning guys. Dry here after a lot of rain last night. Forecast is snow all week here. Heading off to register the wee 1 this morning.
  17. Evening, I did plan on signing in at 3.30am but was busy with the wee 1. She’s sleeping 3-4 hours so only really 1 change and feed. Strange how quick you adapt. I’ve been awake 3.30am - 10.30pm a few nights in a row now and getting out a walk too. Wouldn’t like to be climbing, grafting or doing anything to strenuous though!
  18. Morning chaps, my shift started at 3.30am this morning. First change, nappy, feed, wind, burp, rage, swaddle back to sleep. Tea and biscuits now.
  19. Keep busy! Eat well and don’t drink alcohol. structure and routine is boring and hard but soon becomes routine, keeps your brain busy although some crazy thoughts can still come in just let them pass on through. if you know what’s caused you to get down, get yourself to some therapy. Minimise screen time too. Think of something you used to love doing as a kid. Go walk down the road and get a truck to honk its horn, seek out some dopamine. just things that have always helped me through some tough times.
  20. Sub 3t would be big enough. shear it first then just pull root out with just the pinser ends.
  21. Evening ! Mornings are a haze just now 😂
  22. Morning guys! No idea what weathers doing! 😂 mum and baby home yesterday! Twins!! I can’t imagine! 😂😎 we’re just finding our feet, we both have older kids so we should have black belts in this but it’s like doing it for the first time again. Baby’s well!
  23. Early morning for me here, never got a chance to sign in yesterday. My daughter was born, she arrived safe and well Via C section, mum and baby doing well resting in the ward while I came home for some sleep. Oh and it’s a barmy 7 degrees so a nice drive home last night. I while new chapter for me ahead, less work more family time.
