  1. If you are going by their website, I have a feeling they are old prices. Been that way for quite a while. The weaker sterling will have hit them.
  2. What sized loads? Split firewood?
  3. If Steve is running a processor, wont it have its own independent hydraulic pump driven by the tractor pto By running in at the 1000 setting, the tractor can be operated at lower revs while maintaining the same speed at the pto, therefore not affecting splitting performance.
  4. How are Japa rated? I dont think they have belts either?
  5. I recently bought a woodline "WL 10 BULL SPECIAL" with honda engine from my local dealer here in Ireland for €1400 + vat, approx £1250. Not bad value I think. Didnt get delivered to me yet. Log splitters and wood splitters
  6. This guy aint half bad on a bicycle! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z19zFlPah-o]YouTube - Inspired Bicycles - Danny MacAskill April 2009[/ame]
  7. Today, €1300 = 1,132.80 GBP
  8. Ive been quoted similiar. Coillte?
  9. Im surprised people are trusting enough to pay for something in full, months before they get it. I wouldnt!
  10. I was thinking the same, but I think the splitter will get plenty of use anyway on awkward stuff that wont fit in the processor. They also seem to hold their value well.
  11. Co Kerry, no, i have a forestry which I will be starting to take thinings off in the couple of years, will definitly buy a processor then, but they are pricey . I the meantime I may start buying in timber like yourself to get started. Bought a splitter last week, didnt get it yet. Is timber plentiful up there?
  12. Just asking, because 99% of timber being sold in truckloads down here is softwood. Hardwood very hard to get.
  13. Worst thing about buying per ton is that after buying it, you are likely to spend a year or more drying it and making it lose weight!
  14. On second thoughts, your'e probably not looking for a harvester head !
  15. I presume you are talking about something like this AFM harvester, processor and combi heads Some useful videos there, but id imagine they dont come cheap
  16. There is going to be a sh1t load of cleaning up to do

  18. True, but I would imagine most of the website sellers also have a showroom. Most people see a stove as a feature in a room as well as a source of heat and may want to see "it in the flesh". However... something like this would be ideal:cool1:
  19. I looked into doing this here in Ireland, but found that most of the best brands were already gone in my area and I didn't want to be stuck selling brands I wouldn't buy myself. Its important to remember that its not just the stoves you need to stock... parts, pipes chimney accessories etc are also vital (They may well be more lucrative than the stoves themselves). You will need a proper showroom where people can see a range of stoves in comfort and can imagine them in their own home. You also will need in depth knowledge of the product and its correct installation and patience to spend hours talking to people, some who have no real intention of buying! Edit- You could ask these guys have they got any agencies going in your area... http://www.euroheat.co.uk/index.php
  20. Want to tell us what brand you are looking at? Prices? It would be helpful to others in a similiar situation
  21. Maybe Steve will sell me his one for £3000. Shhhh, dont tell him I said that!
