  1. sorry it has taken me so long to reply been a busy boy as of late. anyway checked the id tag and its a 2012 saw I'm going to change the spark plug tomorrow suggested by yourself and see if it makes a difference.
  2. hey stubby i was also told this too but a bought mine just over a month ago and believe its a 2012 model how do a check for year of saw a can't see any clear i,d. I'm taken mine back in next week to see if owt can be done!.
  3. awesome saw after being a stihl lover for some years I've walked to the dark side and traded my soul for husqvarna, brilliant piece of kit to have in your grasp. but yes I've been having problems with mine starting after a period of running hot I found the same problem with a 550 spanking new out the box, I'm told there is a problem with the carbs that are being worked on the now

  5. defo look at the clark jacket chap ive been using it for nearly a year now clark cut and climb have giving us these jackets to test to distruction, and i have try'd my very best the only thing that failed was a hi-viz strip wow. still wearing it now never failed me yet:001_smile:

  9. thanks for all the comments guy's was crapping me self for two days before hand but went well thank god lol. hi dave the tress where at dumfries house in cumnock one of prince charlies estates a bit of mix match of trustees and morrisons stores, the prince him self wanted them taken we taken down three of and four to be lifted. the trees where felled to make way for development think there turning the old stable blocks into a restraunt and some sort of center of some kind can't remember shame to see them go but bloody good fun watching them drop all the same, some one's gota do it eh.

  12. thank going to move the timber tomorrow got a tele handler to move most of it and try to drag the big lumps, not got far to move them thank god lol.

  15. its a sticky subject for some land owners not so bad with tresspass laws up here tho. iv'e found if you just approach the owner and tell them you would love the chance to climb there massive tree for fun and offer either to take arial pic of there home and deadwood for free while you're up aloft good luck climb with partner keep safe.

    here's a short vid of a pop fell a did last week clearing out a shelter belt thats not been managed in years. any way the tree had to be dropped in a really tight zone and also had a horrible lean away from the site, it was getting on for 70ft in hieght, the vid does the tree no justice to it size and its sitcho on the site but this tree had me on my toes and a lump in my throat lol. you'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwjKsKwJtsQll
  21. some great vids there stevie well explained good job indeed can't beat a straight felling job and aye understood every word you said ....lol. done two days felling out a shelter belt preping for re-planting last week and it never stopped raining never mind tho,we got to fell at waist hieght and saved our backs for the rest of the week woo hoo. iv'e got a short vid of a pop fell on the same site it was about 70ft and a heavy leaner will post it up when a get time, me also thinks a helmet cam will be a buy in the very near future:biggrin:

  23. great looking job there john love this type of work. iv'e been lucky enough to do a lot of monolith work cant wait to go back and re-visit them to see what impact they have made, got one we're going back to inspect soon will get some picc's when am there.
