  2. Well I went for it, seems a good truck so far...
  3. You're only down the road from me Bob, is that you offering me a repair if I drop it off with you at the yard?
  4. Yep the same with all machinery really if you look after it, it will look after you. Full service history is a must for me when buying any motor!
  5. Wow good lot of responses there for me to mull over! I have heard a few horror stories about them but I think it's just down to the volume of them on the road (I hope anyway). I've been having a butchers over on the navara forum and read up on the drive chains and rotting chassis at the rear, so I am looking out for those. I looked at one today that had a random squeak coming from the drivers front corner could this be a prop shaft UJ?
  6. After a bit of advise, I'm in the market for a D40 Navara with a budget of about £6k. I was hoping that a few of you might own or have owned one in the past and could give me a heads up of what to look out for when viewing/ test driving the trucks. This will be my first time owning a 4x4 so not very clued up on them
  7. Oh great I bought one of these about 2 weeks ago, looking forward to the sticky spout already (no pun intended)
  8. Looking for a climber to dismantle a tree in Ottershaw, Surrey. Will need to have your own rigging gear and saws etc. the customer is looking to have it done as soon as possible. I will dispose of all the waste and can help on the ground. You can contact me on here or call Karl 07824994377 (leave a message if I don't answer and I will get back to you) Here's a picture of the tree in question:
  9. Will only let me upload one picture at a time for some reason and I have no idea why it's upside down
  10. I am looking for someone with a mobile mill to come and mill an oak butt in Farnham, Surrey. The customer is wanting to keep the wood to use on a future building project, unless someone comes in with an offer that they can't refuse If you are interested in doing it then let me know. Cheers, Karl Here's a couple of photos for reference:

  12. I use invoice2go as well, great bit of software that saves a lot of time and hassle. Has anyone else that uses it had to renew it recently? They want to charge me £70, is this right? I think that's double what it was last year!
  13. Yep I had a navara on Irish plates turn up on my drive the other week trying to sell me one of these, he had about 20 of them. Every time I told him how crap they were he would knock £20 off, he got down to £60 in the end! I laughed and sent him on his way Edit: oh and then he tried to sell me some socks lol
  14. Yes mate that's the one, very good set up they've got there!
  15. Cheers Danny, as I thought quite a lot more then I pay. If your interested I can pm over the details for where I tip, it's located in Odiham not sure if you would want to travel that far?
  16. How much do gunners charge for green waste? I have taken a mixed load in there before and it seemed a bit steep, it was just over 2 ton though
  17. Good work Looks like you would have struggled with speed bumps with the old springs, very low!
  18. Just out of interest what paint are you going to be using? I have been meaning to do mine but it keeps getting put to the bottom of the list of things that need doing, hate painting!
  19. Hi Gardenkit, thanks for the quick reply. Yes that all makes sense, It does seem that the socket is just slightly to big. Rather then grinding the socket I have down would it be possible to buy a "slimline" set? Not sure if there is such a thing? I can just see my self trying to grind the one I have down and it all going horribly wrong.
  20. Bit of a pathetic question compared to the other info on this thread so sorry about that:blushing: I am trying to replace the throwplate on my harrier 48. I am really struggling to remove the bolts that are on the underside (hopefully shown on attached picture). I can't get a socket on to the bolts, would this be because the plastic has worn and closed the gap up? Any ideas on a way I can get these undone, I have tried to hammer the socket on but it didn't work (maybe should have tried slightly harder but was scared about breaking something)
  21. Just seen it on the news Jon, emptying all the livestock out of the farms. Really feel for them, doesn't look like it's going to get better any time soon with this weather coming in on the weekend.
