    Thanks. In the meantime I disassembled the sidewinder, but I fear the problem is inside the case. The spring doesnt build up tension. I think the sprig is able to rotate, or maybe it is broken. I think I am gonna look into the case as well, wish me luck...

    I git mine brad new, bur after pulling the rope out for the first time it doesnt spool back at all?! Any advice how to fix that? I am little afraid to open it because I dont want to relase the spring...

    The wear occurs when the Rope runs out of the device and over the side plates insteat of the pulley. Thats my expirience so far. Just watch out for that and you'll be fine...

    Oh, sorry, after a short "googling", which I obvioisly should have done yesterday before my post...) I see it' different in english, I just translated the german names for the bowlines. For me a double bowline is this: Bowline on a bight, and "yours" is just a variation of a bowline. I love the bowline in a bight by the way, great knot, maybe thats the reason why replied so quick...

    Very nice, looks like a lot of work:001_tongue: Just had a little look, I dont think Technora is good for Bridges, wasnt there something about on Treebuzz? Something to do with Technora beeing "self-abraisive"... Where are the experts? And, your Double Bowline is none, I dont know how its called in english, sorry...

    Hey Drew, Beal can do stitched Terminations on Dynamic Rope, ask them ! But maybe you have to buy more then 1 rope, or it could be eeexpensive...

    Doesn't Ansi requires a higher tensile strength than EN ? Or was that just on Biners... ?

    Thanks Nigel, very interesting ! I know abot the yellow Line, but not about the different core construction, could you tell a little more about it, whats the difference (weave, material)? And do you or someone know about the differences of the US and EU Standards ? Doesn't require ANSI a higher Breaking Strength than CE ?? Sad to hear about Blue Moon, some Months ago Yale told me they want to CE certify it, sounds like they changed their mind. Do they fear not to sell enough in Europe, what do you think ?

    Sounds expensive, and I dont know if I'd like to use the Rings of a worn out Harness. But I am totally open for offers ! And btw, I'd have no problem clipping Biners into the Rings I think, you dont do it that often in daily use... But fairly spoken (<- is that correct English ?) the Treemotion has a really nice Solution for that application !

    Yes, PI and Hi-Vee are Sherril exclusive Colors, Blue Moon is the regular Color of the same Rope.

    PI is in fact CE approved already(since about 2 month)! Availible >> here for example.

    Ouch, you're totally right ! Hmm, and the Rings are (unfortunately) not availible as spare Parts (I'd love to have them on my Treeflex...). Hmmm....

    The Bridge on the Seqoiua is easy to replace, maybe thats why they dont care ?

    Found it (ok, wasnt hard ), Sherrill writes > here: "The shorter loop of cord can be positioned over the Friction Saver's small ring end to make the system adjustable with one hand" Aha... I somehow failed to open the Instructions that can be downloaded on the product site. Edit: Ok, at least adjustible in one direction (shortening)...

    Ahh, alright, a its for "normal" Ring-CS made of Leather, I didnt think about that ! I always think of this "Leather-Tube-Thing" when I hear or read Leather CS. And that one with an adjustable Prussick was really confusing me... Thanks ! The answer to DrewB's Question would also interest me !

    Prussic for a Leather CS, could you please explain that to me ? I never used a Leather CS anyway, but I cant Imagine what a prussic is doing with it... Would be great !
