Think you hit the nail on the head Steve, that’s probably what happened if the second quote came from who I think it did:sneaky2: They do have a contracts manager who prices domestic, but with no past arb experience, normally up to the lads to work how long It’ll take, they’ll be on a standard day rate, then he’ll whack a massive OH charge on top

    New Gear ?s

Thanks Justin, sorry I didn’t buy from you BTW, got a company discount from the shop, I know about the gear loops, they came with my last TM, this time there was a bag with studs inn, can’t think of any reason for them, maybe put in there by mistake as for the cube , it’s old stock so like I said got it cheap, maybe I’ll just try a bit off needlework and gaffa tape, serves me rite for being a tightwod

    New Gear ?s

1: Just got a new Tree motion, it came with some small black plastic studs and a couple of pieces of elastic anybody know what they’re used for? 2:also got a Stein throw bag cube, think it’s the first addition, as build quality is pretty shoddy , any suggestions on how I can make it stronger? Last: got some liros pro throw line, had it of the reel today and the outer waxy cover is broken about half way along the line, will this affect the strength, Should I send it back? Thanks LSD

  12. Newt? I thought that the Indonesian giants of Krakatau and komodo was a much more ingenuous name:001_cool: but then I am a bit biased Steve would you like me to PM the designs I finaly came up with? still got em sitting about somewhere

I’m of to NZ in about a month and was wandering if they good enough to double up as a hiking boot? Saves me the baggage/money of buying a separate pair

  20. Had a bit of down time from the blackthorn today, set this little Exorcise machine while waiting for ground saw to be repaired, the poor thing just gave up in he heat and imploded, (no spare)
  21. Interested in what people are using, seen a lot of different techniques on here over time, wouldn’t mind having them all in one place, So please post your pics, srt, drt, whatever Here’s what I currently use, just to get the ball rolling, pretty simple , but works well for me. plus it lets me dust off the lockjack from time to time:001_smile:
  22. I’ve got a TM and love it, not as complicated as it looks and I think the rope bridge with stopper knot is quite a raw/old school Idea, Only a couple of faults which are A: I’its longevity and B: the elastic on the leg loop can be a right Pain in the backside (literally) As for the skylotec, never used one, but have herd from people at work that the solid leg loops and the sticking out Ds can get in the way a bit, but others highly rate it , Why is the sequoia not on your list? seems to be what most people are using nowadays, good harness plus its cheap and has a ten year life…. I think
  23. think we found ourselves too busy to take many photos here's a few that I managed , Thanks again to everyone who came and had a climb today,
  24. Still not tempting them Andy:banghead: Did I mention that I’ll give some Armour Pruss 10mm hitch cord to the first 3 Arbtalkers who complete The London Plane Rubber Duck Challenge Plus there’s a folly (whatever that is) to be won as well as some of the country’s finest chainsaw carvers and furniture makers and wood craftsmen plenty of beer and hopefully sunshine, plenty for the kids to do and much much more, all in a beautiful suffolk countryside location . :dancing2:
