  1. Anything from 7 -10 hrs a day 5 days a week some Saturdays when I need to Then paper work, quotes, phone calls on top of that I make a rule to spend Sunday with the Wife & Kids if I can

  3. I quite often team up with 3 of the local companies to me and we help each other out on bigger jobs or lend each other bits of kit But I have also found some others to be hostile when they see you
  4. Hi Burrell how easy is to get the top end of a saw I think I have just heat seized my 023 not had a look yet but the starter cord is jammed solid

I think for a 6" road tow with operator between £150-£200, then extra for chip disposal The price varies to take in to account distance from yard and amount of time chipper is running for ie fuel and wear and tear It has to be a very big job for a chipper to run for 7 hours, also I would not want to clear up old rubbish that has been left on site for weeks it could have any thing mixed in with it

    I am 47 this year and don,t feel like giving up yet I just don't do as many hours in the day and sleep more at night

  9. Now that is what I call a collection Magnus I don,t think I have ever seen that many saws in one place In fact I don,t think I have ever seen that many saws Do most of them run or are some just for spares

  11. I totally agree with you Skyhuck I used to have a news paper but have stopped buying it I very rarely watch the news far to depressing I do hear news on the radio in the van and most of that you need to take with a pinch of salt

    I know how you feel our boiler was condemned 3 weeks before Christmas 10 days with no water or heat and then a huge bill to pay Christmas week Best get back to work to pay for it all

It is very useful 18 stoner, but it needs to go on a bit of a diet it is 2,700 empty The cage is made of Galvanised steel I need to replace with alloy or cut it down a bit and also remove the back seats for storage. It runs well and only has 23,000 miles on the clock it was a parks truck on one of the London boroughs local parks only had it a month but very happy with it

    I think that stihl are missing the point They would more than likely sell more saws Because they are used for different jobs It is nice to have a light weight saw for pruning jobs and a 200t for dismantles We are all in the EEC why sell in France but not the UK
  20. My new truck, at last I have a tipper after 3 years of shovelling chip off my pick up:001_smile:. Needs the back tidying up a bit not keen on the plywood and brackets for ladders need moving

  22. Willow is fine, split it and let it dry properly and it will nice and hot but quick
  23. I have to pay to dump any thing I cant chip, so I chop it up and sell it as fire wood Also bit of extra money in the winter time
  24. I find Global sales very good & also Buxtons have a lot of stock and will let you hang about in a harness
  25. Sounds like you need a course of antibiotics mine was the same 2 weeks ago that soon sorted it also ibuprofen to bring the swelling down. Then get it ripped out quick
