  1. I,m not keen to work it myself, it,s not the end of the world though. Just another day really. I,ve put a bit on top just to cover wages. If I dont do it someone else will and I cant see the point in letting work slip away. Besides it,s a doddle of a job.
  2. Good advice, I,ll try it on Sunday.
  3. It,s bliss Stevie, side tipped a load of conifer chip and logs today. Did,nt even unhitch the chipper.
  4. Indeed I am Frank. I pray for my wallet to get fatter everyday.
  5. Okay as there is only one Aspen to climb, the rest being felling. I,ll do the climbing and have Rich as a groundie on double time which equates to time n half climbers money. Wriggled out of that one nicely. The wife will get double time aswell, which will make it £30.
  6. The lardy arsed cow! They,ve probably done her a favour, perhaps she,ll lose weight now.
  7. Leave it out Joe, double time Rich will read this later.
  8. I,ve priced a job today that can only be done on this Sunday coming. I,ve priced it with wages at time and a half for three people. I have ample work at the moment and dont really want to work on Sunday nor would I ask anyone to work unless there was some incentive.......Anyway my question is, how many of you would do the same ?........Youre answers wont sway me in any way, I,m just interested as to who would or would not pay more for Sunday hours.
  9. I think you have three months before you have to register with HMRC as being self employed. This should give you time to work out whether or not you can make a go of it.
  10. I,ll be up for the Friday night camping. YeeHa.
  11. That,ll do, I,ll drive the tranny with two settee,s on the back with ratchet strap seat belts across youre laps, that we we can get nine people ferry,d to the show ground
  12. I,d love to yes right now, I,ll see how fat the wallet gets before I commit myself.
  13. Thats Burt jnr.
  14. Spin small gears and you,ll burn more fat than going flat out everywhere. Youre a naturally big built bloke John so dont try and lose to much to soon or you,ll feel tired at work.
  15. Yeah its a turbo. On the downside it has 126,000 on the clock and its had a respray which always makes me suspicous. But I crawled all over it and it looks good to me.
  16. I bought this today, late 99, 9 months mot, tax til July, 3 way tipper, tow bar and it drives real good. £2200.
  17. In that case he,s treated you like a div and deserves pistol whipping to put him in line. I always prefer the cat of nine tails cos I like boats.
  18. Why not just let him go and find someone else with a clean licence ?
  19. Hahahahahahaha, just had a neighbour knock on the door as the wife is doing dinner. Can you fit my tree,s in soon, she asks. SOD OFF.

  21. Part n parcel of working for yourself. I,ve been out pricing for two hours today and all I really wanted to do is have a day to ourselves. Not complaining though, just glad when the phone does ring.
  22. When its in place they should let Tommy Treecarver do something with it.
  23. Nice one Cerne, I,m chuffed for ya.
  24. Is this truck in Kent ? The reason I ask is because the self same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I walked away cos it was suss.
