  1. Is that the one that sometimes the rope just fell out of because I remember that one . Scary .
  2. Is that Staplespun rope . Groundie calls it Hairy rope . Good cheap rope which we use . Oh bonus it floats .
  3. Yeah big flush cut . My favorite picture in that book is of a curly haired guy removing a branch. While groundie is lowering it next to a main Rd with one road sign . Climber is wearing jeans no PPE . Can you picture it:lol:
  4. 3 Strand nylon climbing line and prussik oh and a giant steel karabiner climbing was a lot harder. Some of the things written in the book ( Tree surgery by Mr Bridgeman ) . The book was written in the 70s 80s they advise wearing a shirt and cords for work . Even in the past few years Tree climbing work has evolved . GT Harness blue and yellow ends up under your armpits so true .

  10. Have you ever met Rob Smith he used to work for me . Hes been to Sweden and Norway and hes been back in Stockholm for 6/7 months now . Not sure who he works for now . The work as he told me was mainly pine / larch etc , leaving brash in a pile and stacking timber no chipping .

  18. I caught a chain link fence with my first stumpy years ago. It took ages to get the bugger off the wheel . Back then I used to use cheapy wind breaks as stumpy guards , mind you I did paint them green .

  25. Hi guys as some of you know I have had shoulder problems from my work load . Anyway I was told to get some UDDERMINT from any Agricultural Supplier . This was suggested by an old diary farmer who uses it for his arthritic hands . Well I thought it was wind up but as it turns out its very good . Very strong mint smelling lotion .Rather similar to Deep heat but more of a cooling effect than heat . Yes it is for Cows udders but hey the England football squad have even used it for sprains and strains . Mine cost £14.50 and is quite sizeable at 600ml . Oh just dont rub your eye after application . Tiesen Uddermint . really good And yes it is suitable for human use .
