  1. Rob you are a loon! Would not have fancied boring into the back of that sucker! I try and make sure bar length = 2.5 x diameter of tree being felled! Good work mate and cracking pics.
  2. I have looked this up in the Stihl user manual. It clearly states that 'you have to make the saw your bitch, you big girl.' Wise words indeed.
  3. Nice job. The great Robinia/Acacia domino effect continues up and down the country!
  4. Great shots John. How did the Makita bite the dust?
  5. That is a cracking realistic looking fracture point left on top Dave! Did any interesting little beasties emerge?
  6. Good work fella. But who on earth came up with £640? I would have eaten it for less, with a little bit of salt and Tabasco of course!
  7. I fancy giving this a try, but I'm that cack-handed I reckon if I started with a spoon I could turn it into a branch! BBB- cut AWAY from yourself, man! Klaymeb, bring your new toys to Jonesie's show. We can all carve ourselves spoons to stir our Alka Seltzers in the morning!
  8. Good idea with the zip Justin, I'll get mine at your show. Know what you mean about the 'street' look some of these young 'uns go for. If only they knew it originated from the American prison system and basically means - 'I is willin' to be yo bitch'!
  9. I thought Pfanner were aware of this problem and had now rectified it? You can't say to people - by the way, wear braces with your £200 trousers or your knob will fall out of the badly stitched crotch. How much is it to get them stitched up properly Theocus?
  10. That's a nasty tear you've left there Wattie, you want to sharpen your saw up mate! Good luck with it tomorrow. That'll still be there. Tough as old boots, conifers....
  11. Is that dog a collie/grizzly cross sitting on a Monterey Pine stump?
  12. What plant did you take up mate?
  13. Wouldn't fancy taking on the managers job at the Toon would you? It's obvious you have a massive talent for getting top results out of of s***e!
  14. Opposite here. I was inspected years ago, and they picked up on stuff like VAT on chewing gum I had bunged on the card whilst buying £75 DERV. And demanded the VAT back which I had reclaimed on the Wrigleys! Must have taken some minion ages to sift through my boxes of paperwork then present me with a bill for £54. Why don't they pick on MP's or bankers instead? Or pikeys? They buy and sell a lot of kit. Scum of the earth IMO.
  15. Looked at another dying Acacia today, 4th this year. Fairly young 20 footer, no brackets, no ground issues, just loads of dead tips. Previously left one to give it a chance, and it was properly dead within weeks. What's going on? Could it be insect-borne?
  16. Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon. 32gm 6's
  17. A 40m rope is not a pre-requisite for any course mate. Listen to Matty.
  18. You've got to love jobs like that!
  19. Aussies did bat well. Freddie injured? Harmy recalled I think. It's all to play for!
  20. Looks like the rootball is coming with it?
  21. Know how I'm going to chip 14 tonnes of conny with a 2 inch chipper..... Although getting to the top of them clearly will not be a problem......
  22. CTS could use his Pine butt as the shank!
  23. Apart from a HUGE Monterey Pine I felled recently. With my light sabre.
