  1. The 6lt is actually plenty big enough. Who cares if it’s refilling all the time? It’s only noise! My little cheapo Sip Airmate T1.5 has done me for 15 years and not missed a beat. Gets the saws clean as a whistle, and easily capable of whacking 60psi into the Transit tyres. 25 litre better, obviously.
  2. 550 running a 15” is my go to saw for most things. I keep thinking ‘I’ll switch to a bigger saw in a minute’, but rarely do. XPG gold in the winter. I can’t comment on the 261, although I’m sure it’s a big improvement on the 260’s, which I found totally gutless.
  3. Sorry, missed the ‘surviving’ bit. Phew! I’ll get down the disco then.
  4. Bugger. I’ve got nearly a 100% chance of dying. I’ll get me mask....
  5. Well done Saul. Some nice looking pieces in there.
  6. You would like to think so Paul, but it’s more the giving a trial a swerve that would bother me.
  7. Aye, if he was any good he’d be up for a trial.
  8. Aye, not necessarily a bad thing. The more young stagers who get it and recover, the less people there are spreading the lurgy about I suppose.
  9. John, it’s not uncommon now for people to only give that kind of reference (they are shit scared of being sued if they say someone is good and it turns out they aren’t). It sounds a bit ominous, I admit, but it’s not necessarily the lads fault.
  10. Whilst I would agree with a lot of that, I was just pointing out that saying infection rates aren’t rising in Europe is incorrect. I’ve just been to France and it doesn’t surprise me tbh, judging by the behaviour of people at the motorway aires. They can’t keep their bloody hands off each other! In the rural area we went to people were being much more careful.
  11. Apart from France had a record number of cases yesterday.
  12. Eggs has made a good point about big offices in cities etc. I’m in a titchy village in rural Kent, but it’s a quick journey to the mighty Ashford, where the fast train into that London takes 36 minutes. Season ticket is £7k. Plenty of my mates work there. They were furloughed initially, but have been back at work remotely for months. No drop in productivity, companies are happy, they are happy. It won’t stay like that, I’m sure, but it won’t go back to ‘normal’. Bound to effect Sally’s Sandwich Shop, after work bars etc.
  13. Super cab every time here, you should get a foot more bed space. I don’t think I’ve ever seen passengers in the back of a double cab, apart from ‘lifestyle’ vehicles or gyppos out coursing.
  14. Will they recognise a private test Andy? Too late for you this time out, like.
  15. COVID 19 is a weird thing mate. My mate caught it God knows how, he’s a bull of a man, typical hard as nails farmer, never ill. When he went on a ventilator they reckoned the survival rate was 1/3. He pulled through after 3 months but it was bloody close. He was being extremely careful because his wife has MS. Turned out she’s had it as well, but not a peep of illness! I personally know about 20 people who have had it (confirmed), and symptoms have ranged from zero to bad flu to near death. A couple of old stagers down here in Kent and back home in Northumberland have ‘died’ from it, but were well into their eighties, so who knows? They’re definitely dead though. A cockney lass I know down here, her great-aunt was one of the first confirmed, she was hospitalised but came home pretty soon aged 94! To my mind, the government achieved it’s main aim in flattening the curve and not having people lying in hospital corridors. Well, no more than normal anyway.... Time to get back to work folks, but just look out for yourselves. I think we are intelligent enough to use our own judgement on what and not to do.
  16. You lazy arse. You’re a man after my own heart!
  17. Bollocks Eggs, you’d have had that off in a jiffy with a couple of ratchet straps, a reconditioned submersible pump, a flux capacitor and a couple of lengths of shit pipe.
  18. Hahaha, class Toad! Well done for sorting it Tippin. You shouldn’t have been put in that situation, but hats off for sorting it. If I was the courier co I’d be scouring the market now for a tail lift and pump truck that can lift more than a set of IKEA shelves. Also, why did they say a pallet weighing over 700kg needed two men without any kit? I’ll have some of their steroids please! Must be some bloody men!
  19. Anyone who thinks it’s a hoax is on a different planet. It’s certainly a tale of dithering, misinformation, conflicting advice, downright lies, scaremongering and bullshit, but it isn’t a hoax. It is a real thing that you wouldn’t want to catch (although you’d probably be ok if you did). The government aren’t capable of keeping a secret on this scale. They can’t even keep it quiet when one of them gets caught with their pants down or takes a drive to Barnard Castle ffs. A hoax would require a degree of competence that simply doesn’t exist. Pushing agendas? Yes. Hoax? No.
  20. Good shout Paul. Much easier if all parties are onside before work starts. If they kick off it’s MEWP time.
  21. You can’t climb the trees on the owners side of the boundary without their permission. Well, you can, obviously....
  22. Two things. Black trousers are only ‘high visibility’ at a KKK meeting. They are nearly £200! No wonder no one replied!
