  1. Getting back to Tom,s predicament...how to meet mrs right (Who must be into trees/tree surgeons). you need to move in the right circles Tom. Find where the nearest Arboretum is to you. I,ve met quite a few nice lasses at kew..most recently a very beautiful woman from Barcelona who is involved in plant cultivation there. you have something in common with them straight away.A love of the outdoors, trees etc..lots io talk about.. Forget night clubs Tom...Botanic gardens is where it,s all happening!
  2. :blushing:nice lass...
  3. There was a thread on here a few weeks back Tom...someone may remember. A young lady looking for love. I went to college with a German girl who was an amazing tree climber/chainsaw opperator but she was built like a bull and had an extreme ammount of facial hair...
  4. Hamsterley will make a great debut Marathon for you.....hope you raise a lot for a great charity.
  5. It,s on my list of things i want to do...just been on a Yosemite website...there are 13 campsites there or you can rent a cabin. i reckon a Tree Tent up in the canopy would be the best...
  6. It looks like it,s sitting down...very unusual.
  7. That must be very satisfying work...and a great advertisment for the skills of Big J. Great stuff Bob!
  8. Ditto that...Brought up some good debate.
  9. Beautiful wood..the grain looks a nice colour on that slice...i,d love a very long table made out of it..the kind you see in Castles...Cool.
  10. SUPERB PICTURES!!... Height of tree? DBH? just curious cos it looked like, A BIG LUMP. Bet you enjoyed that. Great Post
  11. planting a tree is a great gesture to the planet and the enviroment...well done! it will outlive us all.
  12. UTTERLY DISGUSTING!...i,m gutted for you mate. please keep us posted on any developments that i hope you get. Lowlife Scumbags!
  13. You are absolutely right Felix. I have been involved in the re pollarding hundereds of Large London Planes in central London during the last 5 years..it is Fast and intense in what i call "Factory tree work"..i have only ever seen one opperative wearing one in that time. it is something that needs looking at. i.e a mask that can be worn as well as full PPE without the risk of passing out from the heat! it is imo the worst practice in tree surgery and we are at thye mercy of Bosses who demand work done at full commercial speed in a high target area....NOT NICE! and hopefully this will be my last couple of Planes...EVER! Smoking is also carcinogenic and ALSO impossible to do whilst wearing a mask...
  14. Worth the ten minute wait. i,ve said it before but Yew wood is imo the most finest of grains!
  15. Masks are available to those who require them.....i don,t suffer with them, just sneeze once or twice......wasn,t so bad actually...much worse on a hot sunny day and when the seeds are large. But take your point if someone is suffering then they need at the very least a mask.
  16. i,m refering to an original post you or Barry did after opening your dealership...i,m a Kew....Londonshire.
  17. Atree i applaud you. That was spiderjackery selftending Zubat tastic! you are as one with your S.J like me! i,m gonna post a vid soon.....this is the way forward...
  18. Another thing frosty....it sounds like your keeness to "Over Lunge",may be due to sniffing a large ammount of Plane dust today and maybe your having a "Come down"....try to rest, blow your nose vigourously. We can see how you feel in the morning and if you still feel the need to Lunge we can arrange a discreet one ok?
  19. Frosty....get a good night,s sleep bro. you,re gonna need it! ha ha......
  20. Anytime Mr Bernstein....i,ll cycle over and see that boat of yours and we can climb a tree...Deal?
