  3. Well done team Tom!
  4. Crack on mate! It's a great day for it...keep the pictures coming...im sure you'll finnish today.
  5. Have a Great Xmas Phil and give my regards to everyone there...I'll have to get up there one day.You have the friendliest of stores andLets see those Xmas Jumpers!
  6. Went to bed a 3 a.m up at 7! Feel fresh as a daisy and ready for anything. Ever since i changed my habits I seem to require less sleep. Our bodies and minds are amazing things. The full moon is going down and I start the day my usual way, a slice of toasted granary half a cup of black coffee and of course Arbtalk.
  7. Having chainsaw trousers that fit you is vital.they are an extremely important part of your PPE and wether you are a groundy or a climber they need to fit and they need to be fit for the job! HiFlex are notorious for crotch splitting. When they are box fresh and the right size they are a superb trouser but any slack in the crotch area and you straddle round a branch the wrong way and,RRRRip!!!! Any tear in them and they soon turn into tramp pants...insist on a trouser that works for you...you will be able to do your job better and safer..after many pairs of Hi Flex,X Fit and Pfanner I believe I have found the best in SIP.
  8. Sure will Mr Orchard
  9. Thanks Mrs Gand....see you both on the return journey back up from Cornwall.

    Bad dreams

Don't go back on the booze!!! Having cut down drastically myself recently I am very pleased I did, Booze can mess your life and head up as well as your body or even kill you...whatever is causing your nightmares alcohol is the last thing I would turn to...get in touch with a sleep clinic or similar mate.
  11. Gustharts Maybe offering something a little different this year. Xmas borballs anyone?
  12. As the Sun went down after yet another blue sky day I knew it would be a cold night...I have just finnished a facetime conversation with my big brother who lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and after he showed me the rows are cars all plugged into sockets including his pick up it makes Durham feel Tropical. Apparantly thats how they make sure the vehicles will start when temperatures can get down to -40.
  13. Agree with a deeper gob..only slightly though.
  14. If it went where it was supposed to then that's the important bit..looks a very even hinge so you clearly had control of it as it fell and with the high lift wedges you gave it plenty of encouragement to go over. Well done!
  15. Yes some can...there is a very good video on youtube.
  16. I love these threads....because I know the best answer! ZigZag and blue tongue are a match made in heaven......pair these two together and you'll be cooking on Gas Tom....
  17. Arran knows a good thing when he sees it ay bro? Remember the Sports strop?
  18. When I saw you mention Blue Tongue I had to respond. On my Second 37m one...it works amazingly well with Spiderjack, ZigZag and Prussick loop!
  19. I,m in the Devon/Cornwall area in the next 10 days...we can meet if you like.
  20. Glad to hear you got back home safe...like you messaged me, at least you didn't have to drive home!
  21. I deadwood very occassionaly in a tree with a Silky but harder deadwood is going to dull your blade quickly whatever Silky you use.
  22. I'd left by then Jon and my last pictures of the night looked like this and I couldn't work out if it was me or my phone that was causing it.i did tell him that you had recognised him....and I had been drinking for 5 hours by then but nothing stronger than Amstel.so when I got to my local st the top of the hill and sneaked in two pints of Old Rosie before midnight I was fairly hammered.Definately makes a difference not drinking in the week. Once on a blue moon is much more enjoyable.....certainly felt odd this morning. It is a drug and therefore your body and mind need to come down from it. After Xmas I'll stop again for a couple of months. Being Sober is a very uplifting feeling.
  23. Will the beaver return to Finnish the job?
  24. Very we'll done!
  25. Great job Adam..was it all rigged with the X-rings? no pulleys involved? That selfie is a corker!:D
