  1. dont worry i wont be touching a splitter, i just cut the trees and bring them in:lol:
  2. they were felled in witley about 8 miles from guildford, all of the wood is going to our yard for firewood even the big lumps!! yeah the 88s had some use latley.
  3. as it says on the tin two beech fells:thumbup: im not too clued up on hoppis foot but we measured the first bigger beech stem, 40 ft long and weighing 23 tonne!!! ive got some good videos of the fells too, i will put them up another time.
  4. the second dougy we felled was tall, the rigging point was 18-24 ft from the top and there was 10ft on the ground of a 60m rigging line!!
  5. just seen i can do multiple quotes rather than 3 seperate ones, its a warn super winch on the navara but we just pulled the trees tight in low range. they came over easy. there should be some good pics towards the end of the week because we are felling 2 massive beeches. the biggest is the biggest beech stem ive ever seen. :thumbup:the county and roof mount will be out to pull those two over and clear the mess. theres going to be a lot.......
  6. thanks for putting the pictures the right way up!!
  7. not a week 3 and a half days, we trimmed a lovley hawthorn hedge one afternoon and did a days bat inspecting in a woodland on friday< a nice easy friday to finish the week!!!
  8. a few pictures from our week and for once we took a camera (although no great quality). You might need to turn your computer to look at most of them:thumbup: Heres a bit about the jobs first is a big dougy that had been struck by lightning some time ago second a big larch with basal decay both near to a road. we stripped the front off both trees so that all of the branches didnt bury in the ground and then felled them. the third is a big dougy over a block of garages, nothing big could be dropped due to gas pipes about 10 inches underground near to the base of the tree. we used the large cedar next to the dougy for a second rigging point. and then a hiab lorry to dismantle the stem and clear the large logs. and the forth a large oak with basal damage and decay over a minor road rigged back from power lines. i love trees but i love to fell them tooooooooooo.........
