  1. Im a small small company covering surrey and berkshire. im looking for either a self employed or full time second climber/groundman with a view to go full time employed in about 4-5 weeks time. all of the relavent nptc tickets needed, towing licence not essential. either PM me or call on 07974102026 would be good to have a couple of years experience in climbing. Rhys
  2. well ive spent 6 days on it so far but bens on it for the whole stretch(he volunteered!! im trying to mix it up so no one gets too bord, its all sorts yew, beech, conifer, laurel. i think we might finish a week early so i cant moan!! i dont mind a bit of hedge trimming, you cant do trees all the time!!
  3. nice job rupe, we are starting the third week of a four week hedge trimming job. 3-4 of us and a cherry picker!!
  4. when and where is the comp???
  5. I'll cover the south east if you still need a team for that area
  6. my logun mk 2 is a 177 and ive got a super ten 22 and the 177 is the best cal imo, it realy depends on the pellet as every gun loves a certain pellet!! i use jsb's in my logun
  7. ive got a logun profesional mk 2 and its the best air gun ive used, it is discontinued now but there is old stock hanging around in some shops. it was discontinued because they were costing too much to make. top quality gun.
  8. Can anyone help i might have a job in north london and im looking for somewhere to tip hardwood logs and wood chip, if you have or know of any where??? would be a great help or else i would need to tip it all off in guildford at my yard.
  9. If thats the conpany i think it is , they were ran sacked and no one heard a thing, i was chatting to one of their lads the other day when they were picking up some new saws. its a nightmare in surrey
  10. poison ivy and blue moon are not ce marked yet, if you are an employed climber you legaly cant climb on either, but if you are self employed you can, this is because they carry the american ancy marking(not sure if ancy is spelled right!!) there has been alot going on with the legalities of these two ropes in the past few weeks, i think btrac are having to pull the poison ivy from their catalog. these lines cannot be used in a uk and i climbing comp as of last week! so some of us will have to buy new lines including me. hope that helps
  11. The job was subbed a few times, i think it was an agricultural firm from alton. it was ment to be a two day job, first day was called off due to heavy rain so we only had the big shipper for the one day. looks like they had fun cutting down the brash on the corn trailer on the second day!
  12. we did start on the lower limbs on the pine first and use the mewp for the pine. i think youve got your trees mixed up!! so why did i knock off some limbs on the way down the cedar, why not!! it was a pritty one sided tree so theres not a lot for them to get hung up on and it makes the rest of the tree easier to climb around not having branches higher up to change the angle of my line. i didnt use the mewp for the cedar because there were branches and logs going every where, i think it would of taken a lot longer with the platform. and plus then we couldnt of had two trees coming down at the same time.
  13. This is a removal we did last year, the cedar and pine had shed limbs over the years. they were in a busy park, shame to remove them but it was a fun job. lots of thick boards to protect the tarmack and tyres to protect the bins and benches. i turned up and thought whats wrong with rigging, but whos to turn down a job where you can just neck off lumps!! The council had a photographer their all day with a time lapse camera http://www.workingimage.co.uk/timelapse/index.php click on the bottom right hand icon Cedar ans Pine
  14. :001_tt1:have a look at the classifieds 90 pickup for sale

  16. yup, the tallest broadleaf in the uk. if you can find them then have ago on the quiet but they are in a very sensitive area.
  17. i sold two full tranny loads of seasoned chips this weekend for £280 had to load it by hand so it was that or nothing!!

  20. im interested pm me the stump details and i can give you a price or a day rate!?
  21. yup i saw the pulley they are for rescue situations only. it was used in a 4 way pull to tention a speed line but under tention the cam cannot be released, so a pulley and a friction device would need to be added between the isc pulley and the anchor. just makes the tentioning of the speed line very complicated!!
  22. hi there, im from guildford only 20 mins away, more than happy to help!?
