I gave the quote to the customer and now they are gonna think about it!!!! They then started saying how much for certain trees to come down, how much can you get done in a day, how much do you charge a day etc etc. It's quite frustrating when you spend time putting a quote together only to find the customer thinks the job will cost a couple of hundred quid when it's a weeks work for two men plus kit and travel. Well the biggest is about 80 ft. There are about 5 with a trunk diameter of around 4-5ft at the base. The rest are skinnier and nearly as tall. There are 30 of them. You can get to them off the beaten track but it is tight. They are on the northants border to Milton Keynes.

I have quoted on a job to fell 30 large black pops but the owner wants the wood sold to get some money back from the job to be able to pay me. Doh. I can't seem to find anyone to buy it. Anyone know any buyers? Other job is a pine takedown. Owner wants to sell the wood as timber. I don't know anyone who will buy it. It will be in smallish bits as it will be dismantled and it leans over shed. Anyone ???

I managed to source a coil off an old buddy I used to work with. Fitted it and it runs like a trooper. Thanks again spudulike. It was a nice little job putting the coil on.

Took the wire off and gave it a rev. No spark Re checked the continuity in the earth wire in the handle and that's fine. Bugger. Do many people have trouble with coils ??

I was using my 200t the other day and it was running perfectly. I started it up to cut a limb off and it just cut out. Not the sort of cut out that it was out of fuel but an electrical cut out. I swapped the plug, checked wires in the handle etc and found that there was no spark. Hmmmmmmmmmm. Please help, any ideas. It's my only climbing saw so could be in the smelly stuff if I can't get it to go this week. Thankyou

I would be pretty unhappy if I was at home and a tree team was working all day and past 8pm. Emergency counted out.

I saw a euc yesterday that had large splits in the bark and it appeared to be dead. It still had moisture in the trunk though. A lot of the eucs I have took down over the past few years seem to be sodden with water In the trunks. Hmmmmmm. Stranger and stranger.
