  1. Pears can be lovely. But. You have to catch them in that golden 5 minute period, when they change from rock hard and tasteless, to a fragile water balloon type thing that collapses into mush and juice as soon as you look at it.
  2. And then there's "Loppers and Toppers"! Ouch. Doesn't look like they could be bothered to do any kind of sympathetic shaping, those sides haven't been touched. Did you show them your picture of the desired outcome?
  3. Is that you trumping my 10 with a 5? πŸ‘
  4. Regenerative pruning for trees. Removed dead, dying, or diseased branches. 10 words, even better than 10%.
  5. Hands up then, who still thinks that Trump is a force for good in the world? Anyone? Anyone at the back there?
  6. Looks shite anyway, I'd rather go to Torbay! I prefer my belly dancers without beards.

    Jokes???

    Talking of honey .....
  8. Ash, looks like.
  9. Macron's reaction to that dump of words is the best thing about that clip. The cameraman couldn't help but break the rule about focusing on the speaker.
  10. And yet BP to slash renewables investment and ramp up gas and oil production. WWW.BBC.CO.UK The energy giant will announce its strategy later after rivals also rowed back on green energy plans.
  11. Another big fan here, can't get enough of it. Hazelnut is good, but so are all the other variants, it's hard to pick a favourite. Since we're well into the subject now, here's a question for team Saucisson that's always puzzled me. Is it worth shelling out extra dosh for the premium or hardcore small artisanal producer offerings? Or just follow Mark's approach and go for the bog standard Sherpa, or other supermarket stuff? Which is what I normally do as well. I've tried fancier ones but didn't really discern much difference. Maybe I'm just not enough of a connoisseur.

  17. Maybe it sucks?
  18. I did one similar for a customer once. I found it surprisingly difficult I think because you can't see the end of the "blade".

  20. That perfectly illustrates his point. The business about lefty students getting radicalised at college/university is a Daily Mail trope I think. Certainly is in my experience. I had zero interest and only very slightly more knowledge of politics at that age. The same for everyone else I saw around me. People are there to drink and other stuff, chase the opposite sex and generally have a good time. Other than that it's just academic learning. Politics doesn't figure at all. It's that old Correlation/Causation conflation again.
  21. Meanwhile..... Here's another mega maga fan. Britain wants to be part of 'second American revolution', Liz Truss claims at right-wing conference in Washington WWW.LBC.CO.UK Britain wants to be part of the "second American revolution", Liz Truss claimed as she announced a new "free speech media... Do we? I don't think she can really speak for the country, given her infamous 49 hours. The woman is like that stubborn floater that refuses to get flushed away. Zero self-awarenes.

  23. You're right, about him being on the BBC, Id forgotten that. It was a late night comedy program on live radio. Not really that funny, the couple of times I heard it. I meant in a serious political commentary type of role though. Interesting idea about him being a closet Tory. Why so? I don't see it. I remember Laura Kuensberg holding Boris Johnson firmly to account numerous times, despite her being an out Tory. She was good.
