  1. A very lucky friend sent me this pic of his landy. anyone care to guess how the front wing damage was caused:hmmmm:, made me cringe
  2. The Complete Encyclopedia of Mushrooms by Gerrit J. Keizer, i only got it today but seems very good. No, very hard upper crust and brown spores. interested to find out what it is, the beech hosts Meripilus too.
  3. 1.Enteridium Lycoperdon on Birch id from my new Keizer book 2. Spotted this on a mature Beech, about 10 meters up near a main union. Maybe Phellinus tuberculosus. 1 Digital crop 2 Full Zoom 3 Arrow pointing to where cushion shaped bracket is located 4 Trunk 3. Kretzschmaria deusta on Beech buttresses, Not the same tree as the above pics. 4. Where’s the cellulose gone. 5. Ganoderma adspersum on old Beech Stump 6. Ganoderma applanatum on Beech with cracking to the trunk. 7. Not fungi related but came across this failed Willow Hazard beam.

  17. Finally got time do some carving again First is an Oak Shell. Started this last month but didn’t get round to sanding it till now. Second is a Larch Abstract kind of inspired by Simons drapery pic's, obviously know where near as good but good fun having a play again.
