  1. Thank you Mr Ed Sorry i did not answer you question from my wet feet thread it was a holder A60 t and the other was a Bv 202 i do believ thats pre hagllands the engine is a 2 litre petrol and twin carbs and boy does it sound sweet ive done some mods to it removed most of the metal work and installed a old crane pump to drive a pair of winches
  2. HOLDERS are built in germany and are still built in germany, they are very pricy about 30 grand , they have a dealer in the uk LAMBERHURST . Kent got 5 holders 1 set up for forestry logging blade and igland d/d winch 1 used on the prossesor and a crop sprayer , a firm in linconshire converted 16 in the 80's its going to be converted to somthing ? and 2 for spares when i see them for sale i snap them up as i find they are number 1 small tractor , mine are all 20 year old but they are built to last
  3. I hate North Westlys and a full moon together it allways gives the Broads big tides and this is what happens (dont drop your saw )
  4. Bought a pair to try at Saltex , will always try out new eye protection nearly lost one a few years back. only trouble i found with them the mesh is to dense and blocks of your vision as thay are very close to the eye, which also dosent allow enough light in when working in a dark enviroment like enclosed wood lands or under a tight canopy but for hedge cutting they are fine :thumbup1:they are my thoughts try them and see for your see
  5. Sorry to but in on this thread, Logbaron in your avitar is that your set up always been wanting somthing small and compact but with a bit more power is it driven of the pto , I have a igland 4000 sky line set up its ok but always looking for somthing a bit faster , any more info and pics was it made by abs

  12. no david not 2 far away i do stuff around your way for SWT some times. alder split should last a bit longer , all my birch has started to turn where the heat has made it sweat inside and its only been down 5 months
  13. as swb pointed out some times buying a bargan is false economy in the long run for your main tools always buy the best, you can then do jobs for others or even hire them out if citificated of course .if you only use a winch 1 or 2 times a year then all good tool shops hire out tirfors you can even get a hydralic one.im afraid im a bit of a winch freak having 20 odd in total from tirfor's, lug-all's , zollern, capstan, igland , hydralic , but they all have a diffrent job to do, allways carry 1 in the truck
  14. plenty of alder coppice around the broads used to be for piling and broom- heads although not any more, its called the devil tree around these parts because of the redish stain after its cut , lovley burning wood but i would use it within the year if not split as it goes soft .
