  1. I'm not at the buying a new one stage quite yet, but probably wouldn't sell it TBH. I could get my groudie to wear it while lowering and then edit it all together!!
  2. I think the HD hero is looking good so far!! What the comparison of viewing angles? The drift was exceptionally wide which made it good for tree work, but probable doesn;t need to be quite so wide. I think I read the the HD hero is wider than the old (non HD) ones. And the film footage I hav eseen looks good. Anyoen got any treework footage from the HD Hero yet?
  3. Sounds dodgy!! is ther not a website to order from with a discount code, like we did with the drift ones?
  4. I might be interested in one. Will let you know. Also this is now available
  5. Oh, I see. Sounds bad to be considerign that kind of thing. I've struggled with cash flow but not to those lengths, and usually for lots of small amounts, not big ones. Can't offer much advice then!! Good luck.

    Vat increase

Is the contract with a non vat registered organisation/group/person? If so then thats a fair request, and your decision, but if its for a vat registered then it should make no difference.

    Vat increase

If your VAT registered then you don't need to increase (net) prices, as you get the increase in vat back on bought goods, and then you charge the extra vat too. Its true that the non vat registered will have to pay more vat on fuel etc and so that could be passed on, as long as you don't price yourself out of the market.

    Vat increase

You only need to add 2.5% on to the things that you buy with vat on, if that makes sense. So a 500 quid job, how much of that gets spent on vat stuff?? Theres fuel and kit etc. but the majority of it is wages, profit, etc and theres no vat on that so no need to add 2.5% to the whole 500.
  9. If you get to keep it, then you will have to fell it at some point in the not far off future. Get a silver birch instead and have an easy life.
  10. No, still got that set up but don't use it much at the moment, and pretty sure its not an ideal set up! Never have much time spare to play with other methods but there are lots of ideas on here.
  11. No, but it was designed to be worn with mountaineering boots and so you are right, you shouldnt have to be messing about with it at all, but it can be put right easily enough. ALso this part of the strap does not really need to be adjustable, it doesnt really matter how high up your ankle it is. mine fits over scarpa pro ascents, and chainsaw boots with or without spikes on, and I dont need to adjust the stirrup strap at all.
  12. I saw them for a month or so in Alaska in 1990, was awesome, even the locals said it was a good show that year.
  13. Yep, seems to fit on that climbing shoe ok!
  14. All foot ascenders need to be able to fit onto standard mountain boots, not much different to chainsaw boots IMO.
  15. Standard climbing shoes?? What are they? Something like this maybe??
  16. I was going to add that on you they probably look smaller than a pantin anyway!
  17. I have a piar of CMI ascenders too, and they are quite chunky, the pantin can stay on all day and never get in the way, but the cmi ones are too bulky for that. Use the for ascent and then take them off.
  18. Hi, Craig, just realsided its you!! I'll pull out the pictures in the morning.
  19. I've got a good solution, its quite easy to sort out, will post pics tomorrow.
  20. I just got roped into it.
  21. Sure, but they are just the first step on a ladder (some elses ladder!!) that can end up with stuff going overseas.
