  2. i was led to believe nz was desperate for tree surgeons!? am i wrong in saying so!? because i would of liked to go there for a few years for work!?
  3. i'm in the same boat as you mate, if you cant find work immediately dont worry, just keep your chin up and keep on trying, persistency will prevail.
  4. not even if they offered to work for free!? how do you expect them to become experienced, if your so dismissal towards them!? (not having a go, but want to know yours views in more detail)
  5. now we know what to get you for your birthday! what colour top!?
  6. in response to frank, i was actually joking about job seekers allowance. But even so you are right, hell i'd work for free, hard work and grafting is my idea of fun. i only need money for beer at the moment, well, nptc's and driving lessons to, but im getting by, and dont think of me as a whiner, i do not expect people to give me work, i just have to keep on trying. Plus i do get the odd bit of tree work with a guy i met here on arb talk, and im very greatful, and im sure if i wasnt worth my salt i would definately have no work and be on benefits.
  7. very wise words, and i agree. I haven't given up yet, and im currently working in a gym to get my nptc's paid for, which will hopefully make me more appealing to employers. the harder the struggle, the greater the rewards.
  8. well it's well hidden, or i'm looking in the wrong places, all the firms round here have very little work ... or so they say
  9. looks like i'll be sponging of the government pretty soon then, i leave college on the 30th, then soon enough i'll be one of those who is still living with his parents in his 40's. what a life!
  10. haven't used many husqy's, as i've near always used stihl saws and such. but i would not say either is better, just slightly different in design ... and colour
  11. well done, i've still got to do a few more bits and bobs before i get my ND, should be able to do them down in the pub though
  12. how about name tags, or we could all wear top hats with a monocle, maybe a cape to.
  13. i'll hopefully pop along, and shall bring food for the barbie, steak sound good!?
  14. i ordered from honey brothers, 1x yale xtc blaze 37m rope, a few days later i had a phone call telling me that they where having trouble in getting hold of it, so they said why not have the inferno, exactly the same apart from the colour they said. i later received a 47m xtc inferno rope, i did call to say what i had received but the guy was very dismissing. i was charged with my original order of the blaze rope and it was the same price, im just a little confused and suspicious. so i would like to know if any one knows about these two ropes, and whether its just me being paranoid, and should i just be happy with my extra bit of rope
  15. does this cover the health and safety policy!?
  16. we all wish we could do what we want with 'the' tree(s), but we provide a service and have to do what we are told in away. to turn down a job, and leave it to a another company or the dreaded 'cowboys', is shooting your self in the foot. Of course with the exception of a tree with high amenity value, which can then have a TPO slapped on it and then we all can get a good nights sleep without the need of horlicks, even if we have less beer money.
  17. he can model are climbing gear, show us how to look sexy in it and hopefully i'll be there. ill bring the buns
  18. when you become 'Mr. world', you'll have to thank us all, with getting the first round in.
  19. i know of a tree thats looks like a elephant, no pictures. I will go out and get some soon!
  20. wow thats good, only tried it twice, the cackle at the end scared me
