  1. 2 EXPERIENCED CSCS Chainsaw Operators required for 4-6 weeks in Preston Area, Contract due to start 20/09/10. If you have not got your CSCS can possibly put you through it next week, only costs £30.
  2. thank you for all the offers, all timber has now been accounted for. Probably should not say this but.... at the price offered I have no idea how the buyer in question can make it pay!
  3. Approx 350 tonnes of 12-24 inch timber in 3 meter lengths, 70% oak, 20% ash, 5% beech, 5 % Sycamore available in approx 4-5 weeks. South Lancaster. PM offers per tonne. Haulage will be £2 a mile, Minimum supply 27 tonnes.
  4. Looking for an trainee operator with CS30 / 31 with some experience but more importantly with good tractor driving experience. This role is ideal for a newby who may have worked on farms etc. Pay with depend on experience, 20 days holiday, van, phone etc. PM if interested.   8. its a mobile one like they have on construction sites, cylindrical shape, on a trailer chasis, not like the big one that are mounted high up like they have on most farms, will post a photo
  9. I have bought a fuel tank of a farmer friend who does not know if it is single skin, bunded or double bunded, how can I find out, looks like its been fabbed so no model number.

  12. you think it would be more for air braked vehicles, you could register your mog HGV and increase this I presume.
  13. sure this has been covered before, but is train weight max 23.9 tonnes no matter what. Or is it greater with air brakes and less with hydraulic brakes etc etc. Fastrac says is can tow 18 tonnes which would be over 23.9, cheers,

  18. David Riding Ltd Looking for a foreman / site manager with experience of tree clearance for the construction industry. Experience of operating tractors, large chippers, excavators is important. CPCS for Excavator, PTS, First Aid, planting & experience of management systems (permits / safe systems of work etc) is also desirable. Knowledge of operating dumpers, telehandlers & general forestry machinery is not essential but certainly beneficial. Rates will depend on experience & qualifications / tickets held. Will include 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, 4x4, phone etc. Candidate must be willing to work round the entire UK and will include some weekend work.   19. Your right, I didnt even read the thread title, just started reading posts , in which case the best preventative measure is.............. to live in your shipping container with an AK.
  20. Apologies for my obnoxious post, I was rather drunk, but I still think good insurance is the solution.
  21. Strange idea but!!....how about getting an old for new policy with the NFU that costs approx £26 a month and then not caring one bit what gets stolen! If your beloved 66 goes missing after 3 years, then you get a brand new one in return. That meerkat is on to something im teling you.
