  1. It would be a lot easier to buy my 130 tipper on arbtrader. :-D
  2. Even as a Ltd company a bank will want a directors guarantee for the loan, so you can still lose everything.
  3. We leave Woking area at 6.30am when working in town and usually arrive 8-8.30. If it's going to take longer than that I'll postpone the job!
  4. I'm supposed to be working in St Johns Wood area tomorrow so has anyone seen an increase in traffic jams due to the tube strike today? I'll be doing M25 and A40 to Paddington then cut through Little Venice and Maida Vale past Abbey Road studios to St John's Wood. Cheers.. Al
  5. I send out a follow up email 3-4 days later asking if they received my quote Ok as they can disappear into spam/junk mail folders. If I don't get a reply I'll phone them up. If they give me a Hotmail email address I have to send it from my personal email, as when I send it from my company email account they just don't get anything at all, I don't get any failed sending emails either - strange.
  6. Seems slow. What are you supposed to get with sky? Are these figures wired or wifi speeds?
  7. Thought never crossed mind!
  8. You wouldn't want to be on a slope when tipping that lot.
  9. That sorted it, Cheers Steve. Google chrome worked, but internet explorer didnt'.
  10. Yes pc. Just browsing to the file selecting, then save listing but pic does not attach. The size is 49kb so not big.
  11. I couldn't see what size they had to be Steve, do you know off the top of your head?
  12. Can't attach a picture to an arbtrader ad. Not sure why not.
  13. Oops. Did I say it out loud? I thought that was a pm....
  14. I thought you enjoyed that bungee twanging you on the arse?
  15. I got some telescopic wheelchair ramps for loading up the stump grinder into the truck. Lasted 10 years now. Like these: http://www.wheelchairramps.co.uk/spec_telescopic_wheelchair_ramp.html
  16. Due to increased work load I'm looking to take on a trainee climber / groundsman to join my work force. Nptc's for chainsaw use and maintenance plus aerial rescue are required. Driving licence not essential but need to get to our yard each morning. Experience not essential but common sense is! Contact me if you are interested in furthering your Arb career. 17. That's my understanding as well. Here's the link to the relevant page on HMRC website : https://www.gov.uk/employment-allowance-up-to-2000-off-your-class-1-nics
  18. How come the tree wasn't pulled over in one? Looks like loads of space. Some nice and useful gear there though:-)
  19. Go on the HMRC website to see if you are eligible. It is for reducing the employers ni contribution.
  20. Hope he's OK. Bit close to home this one.
  21. That looks fun. I feel an arbtalk challenge coming on....
  22. Definitely Jon. It's pretty good off road as well!
  23. Morning Jon. Yes, box is out of a Disco 1. When the ecu was set up for the injectors it was tweaked a little;-)

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
