We had looked at this as a future option to carry a GMT 35ttc as it's the perfect roadside size and in theory with the legs and blade should be really stable. Would just need to get rid of the dules and put good quality flotations on.

The bc1000 is more comparable to the bandit 12xp, formally 990xp at 12" capacity, we demonstrated the ufkes cheater 30 and were really impressed with that but not many second hand and hold strong money.

I'm looking at putting a extension on a chipper we are about to buy so it can chip into a bigger trailer which is really straight forward for me to fabricate up but want to make it so it can fold down when being transported so not to clatter anything. Anyone got pictures of any tidy home or factory folding spouts they would mind sharing for ideas.

If it's a tipping trailer why not raise the bed up a bit to reduce the breach over angle

Definitely looks good with the rotation on it but I bet having a decent worm drive like that will seriously up the price of it.

A few from last week out with the Merlo sowing us again how good and safe it is on storm damaged tree's in dodgy place's, no need to get in and scramble about with a saw or polesaw weighting for something to try and take your legs out.

That's the point I've reached too, not got a mini loader but have a jak 200 for the bobcat e26 and recently made a new too hitch for it to go on the E85 which is unbelievable how much you can cut hold and handle with it, especially good on overgrown thorn hedges so not getting torn to bit's all day.

Mason's have a big tp in at the moment which is on a turntable, was looking at it yesterday when dropping some blades off and looks really well put together.

That's impressive! Quick cycle time too I expect. Yeah I think you could be heading up our way on this job for whoever gets it as I don't know of any other machines that can do that.

Again really depends on where your reaching too as I have more capacity 8m out and 20m up than I do 15m out and 4m up and also depends on which head I have on as the GMT is half as heavy as the westtech but with far less cut and grip capacity and as Eddie says I can't reach down so useless if the trees are on a down slope apart from getting the stuff about wher I'm set up, anything under has to be chained and lifted. Beauty with my machine is I have a live load chart screen constantly telling me wher I am and what capacity I have left so I know what's safe to take as a big lump or pick apart.

Even fitted some to the stump grinder as it's normally the last thing to get done on a job and saves coming back of its been taken.

Wish we had the opportunity to be so relaxed about knocking off early in the dark but unfortunately it's just keep going as this time of year always brings in the bigger projects that have been off in the long nice days because of our feathered friends. No I don't expect lads to be climbing or felling in the dark but if tidy up still needs doing I've bought you a decent head torch so get on with it, some may say harsh but it's reality especially since some of the jobs were priced and planned in April-may which after all these years still pisses me off some of our clients do this as sit on a start date till the most difficult time of the year to do the jobs

What's the outreach and capacity at full stretch on the JCB, just looked at a project itd be perfect for as really can't think of anything else.

So could we class a chipper as a agriculture implement so tow a hulking great chipper behind a silages trailer behind a tractor? For forestry work of course [emoji6]

I don't want to turn this thread into a ash dieback debate but this is what the inside of one of the tree's looked like even though it had about 80% crown coverage and it was rediculously brittle

We have had this similar situation a few times with the difference both councils don't actually have tree offices and it's just a planning officer dealing with it. Basically they have used it a a way to get what they want without having to justify or back up why. Some context, both trees Ash, both limited access, both with ash dieback, both fairly prominent visible tree's. Neither officer wanted the trees gone but couldn't justify placing a tpo on them because should they then fail and cause damage due to reasons stated they could have a claim placed against them because to place a tpo the tree must be viable (someone might help me out here with the exact wording)' for a decent amount of time. So they used the threat of placing a tpo as leverage to have the CA notification withdrawn and changed to what they wanted, both times I politely refused and 3 weeks later was removing the trees before they become to much of a risk to ourselves to safely work on.

Bobcat out doing what it does best grabbing trees and making them disappear into the chipper When you're nearly out of fuel but need to get the job finished so a little is stolen from the valtras tank. Handy these built-in refueling pump's
