  3. Sorry all you chaps that want to retain the tree personally I don't think the tree is getting any better and pruning the thing ain't right it's throwing good money at a bad investment fell and replace ... It's next to a property and private residence
  4. Also to add I believe that whilst pruning is aloud on your side you would still need permission to get into the tree if needed from the neighbours side and the tree needs to be left in a stable condition I have known large trees to be pruned right back to a fence line leaving the tree unstable thus needing a fell

  17. I think we should all remember that the art of Arboricuture is an old skill that has been past down over the years and only recently within the last 25yrs or so Has gone through a rapid transformation into wot we see today as the art and skill we call modern arboriculture When I first took up the saw I was given a new willans t20 not one of them modern ones with the padding t22 thingys and I worked off a 3 core rope advancing th multiplait cause someone let and I got tue rope also straight bowline and prussik none of them there prussik loops which were well excellent plus dragging around a big bow saw or a puter still 020 yep all good fun though talking to some of my colleagues that was there before me and basically they worked off hessian rope tied around the waist climbing big beech taking limbs off and through the winter months a gardener be..... in the all this less than 30 yes ago mad wits it got to offer in the next 30yrs ........laser saws and jet boots From Bobs iPhone
  18. My mate got a job a few years back and the lady of the house wasn't gonna pay unless he killed the stump so he drove of and picked up some bleach and vimto mixed the two together and poured the lot on the stump and told her not to let the dog out for 3 months .... Yep I know so wrong but I laughed for a week and every time I think of it still gives me a giggle lol From Bobs iPhone

  20. 22. I posted this diseased Acer Brilliantissimum in my front garden a couple of years ago but I didn't get a definitive answer to the identification so with renewed anticipation Im gonna fire this at a larger audience and im also gonna hazard a guess as well of verticillium wilt ...Im not sold but its all I got Anyone else got a better guess I think its picked up a few lodgers as well due to the species and it being poorly an all lol
