  4. it really dont look right that and it dont look like its suppose to do that does it
  5. i think you have probably 2 yrs comfortably looking at the crown but sometimes that can be deceiving cause you dont need to much root to keep things green but essentially you got a tree thats on a yellow card, you should look for other faults ie deadwood, unusually small leaves and so on.that said and done the trees eventually coming down one way or another you got to look at risk assessment and possibillity of death or damage
  6. for me it was cutting my rope or forgetting to tight my screwgate
  7. i would give the parish two options a. remove dead and dieing wood and come back the year after for a re-evaluation stressing that this is probably only going to be a little remedial work and that the tree may have to come down. or b. Tell them to save themselve some money it may be the better to fell and replant stressing the health and safety implications of having a tree that going to shed branches. either way any work that you do on the tree remember to clean you saw after as bleeding canker may be carried on the saw an infect the next tree you do if suceptable?
  8. teabag in first, boiling water next, press the teabag into the cup side till youve got you moneys worth or till you thing the bags going to break then milk, whilst stiring cause you dont want to much, then two sugars. Things to remember A. Dont buy cheap teabags B. Milk first is just not right, how can the water be boilig if you got cold milk in first, read the box. boiling water C. If the customer cant keep dog muck out of the garden for the one day your there do you think you should be drinking from there cups?
  9. i had two di-poles in my mums loft on AM plus i had a side-bander with am and fm i got a tip from a friend to put tin foil under the poles to get a better reception it didnt work and to swr in it was a nightmare iand i found out later you couldnt watch the tele for three streets away when i was on it. recently i got a call from my mum she wanted to clear the loft to store thing in it so could i move my stuff. i went up. when i got up there i thought to my self what was i thinkin it was like a cross between jodrell bank and ETs livin room lol

Im a stihl man myself and i dont really like change. i was a little upset when we had to change from multiplat rope to these new fandagled rope with colours and stuff new knots to learn bah humbug... that said i have had in the past a makita saw and it was very good at least as good as the stihl.

  15. its a claysoil i think but i have been trying to improve the surrounding area by adding compost to the soil and turning it
  16. ive bought this Acer pseudoplatanus Brilliantissimum about 3 years ago and for the most of it its good tree where space is limited when the leaves are young they are a salmon pink through the summer they are a very light yellowy green and has great autum colours but since planting it ive noticed some of the leaves have burn like scars. the scars are not at the edges of the leaf but they are inter-veinale i think you would call it so some idears would be helpful it may be it just needs more water or its getting to much sun. i dont know ;but its a little disappointing when the patches appear
  17. i think shes after a job in the buxton catalog

  20. a guy had lived in this for 15 yrs on the car park in lymm. apparently hes got rights now so we couldnt move himeven though i think the skin of the van was made of crisps . we was goin to attach a rope to his van and pull him out of the way before he got up but when we looked underneath it was held up with bricks and a jack so we dropped some chunks of log down to waken him then knocked him up properdiscussed risk assessment and such and off he went to the pub which wasnt far .....it was there car park caused us a little bit of trouble but all went well and he was reunited with beloved VW to sleep it off:icon14:
