  1. IMO replacing a piston after a serious siezer is so risky, just one speck of metal from the old piston and your back to square one. Ive got the Tshirt!!
  2. Ive got a Lincoln 305c, powerfull welder, IMO the type of welder you get depends on your ability at welding and setting the machine parameters up set up is massivly important to get a proper weld. . For a novice no more than an 180amp single phase 0.8wire max.
  3. PZ110 (attack 5) on tracks is a great little machine, very narrow for ease of access. The Honda petrol is better than the Yanmar diesel.
  4. I have a Schliesing 105MX and need to replace the lower roller motor which dropped on the engine flywheel and now has a nice hole worn in it. I know that it is a Parker Hightorque mortor, there are insufficient ID numbers on it for either of my specialist hydraulic suppliers to match it. Im trying to avoid paying the high dealer preimium. Does anyone know exactly what the the motor is, or the part number, or does anyone have a 2nd hand one I could buy working or not I could raid parts from and rebuild. Unusually for a wood chipper motor the hoses port directly from the rear of the motor, unike the top roller which side ports as normally seen. There is not enough room to fit a different type motor. Any help would be much appriciated.
  5. Just to add to that the large plastic cover that go's over the tanks at the rear dosent fit too well, ours fell off while driving on Thurdays, Luckily someone who knew us was following and picked it up and dropped it back to the yard, it should be on hindges.
  6. spot on, thank you. didnt think of that!
  7. I know this is not really arb realated, but does any know and or have a diagram of how to wire a 32A 4 pin 3 phase plug?
  8. love Aspen its awsome would drink it if it would'nt kill me!!
  9. we have one, had it a year now, i maintain it, Chips like a demon no mistake, build quality is not to great, but keeping under the magic 750kg is not easy, (had ours weighed apparently its over 750) . the fuel and oil tanks are not sealed properly and leak fluid, the blades are a little tricky to change needed my full arsenal of Snap On to remove them easily. the fly wheel is of a complecated design meaning a torque wrench or even 1/2 tools wont fit to do the nuts, so have to guess it and use 3/8 which is too small. The blades wont be able to be sharpened that many times until the shoulder will be ground. but only the outer tends only needed to be changed, which is handy! The e-stop button has no gaurding and is exposed to damage, there are lots of good ideas but the design is pony. Ive expressed the problems with mine to the factory on more than on occasion - no reply. Wouldnt buy another and we have 10 chippers.
  10. they chip well no mistake, but it wont last, build is pony.
  11. any chance you can post a picture?, also how old is it?
  12. Does anyone have a Schliesing they want to sell? working or not, road tow or PTO.
  13. good saw the 441 revs higher than the old 440 making these new saws 261 362 ect from Stihl cut like Huskys, however their not as robust as the old 440 work horses, id pick the 440
  14. Thats a proper sieze up mate, you can replace the piston and pot but you need to split and wash every part of the crankcase to get ALL fragments of metal out or it'll happen again, its not worth messing with it, spares bin for it!
  15. Sorry late post. Pezzolato H780/200-tracked is an amazing tracked chipper, awsome power but about £47000 new, rare to find 2nd hand tho.
  16. Can anyone recomend a good chipper blade sharpning machine?
  17. i lost two 66's close togeather they aint that good, the 064 seemed to last longer.
  18. inertia seems not to be 100% effective, im working on a solution
  19. Some interesting thorghts there, I think after recent events we may see the HSE chainging the rules for us all, What is really needed is design change in the top handled saw so there is a opperational brake when used one handed during kickback.
  20. What does every one think of the possibility of phasing out top handled chainsaws, would this be a positive or negatative for the industry?
