  1. I have a box assorted new parts for the above, pls PM me if anyone's interested
  2. Jensen A540 one of the best I've used in a long while. Depends how deep your pockets are. Redwoods back up is first class.
  3. Known for Injector pump fault at 90k+ resulting in diesel knocking and over run and glow plug light continuously flashes.
  4. That's really nice, was that price including tipping gear? Who built it for you?
  5. Not got one of those but have a Mcauley tri axle low loader, they look very similar, give them a shout, their prices are good too.
  6. Carlton is a good solid machine. I have a Rayco 1645 which is good
  7. The one I used a few years back was awful, the hydraulic driven cutter wheel had no torque atall, the hydraulics as a whole were far too aggressive and had no dexterity to them and the multi tooth system is a silly idea and expensive. The colour was nice!
  8. . Pete you cannot compare a Greenmech to a Schliesing. The are completely different classes of machine, which each has its place in the market. To say that they are the same but one costs more is not fair. There are vast engineering differences in quality. I know I have both, equal machines bought nearly at the same time. I'm not saying one is better or worse than the other because I understand how price makes a difference in such a competitive market place, and different levels of owners and operators require different things from their machines. There should be a system on here where members can identify comments made by a biased source so they can make a informed choice.
  9. First port of call, change the oil and filter making sure the oil is the correct grade. Then the pressure needs to be checked. Could be the pump or pumps if they're more than one. Or could be a solinoid if it has any. Happy to look at it if your near Sussex.
  10. Hi Jon, I've been using them for about 20 years, including the 084, they tend to start to lose compression prematurely, from new they will be ok for the first two years then they start to have tickover and starting problems, ive tried the usual fixes and rebuilding, the MS660 is a far superior saw. Good luck!
  11. Not Stihls finest hour the 088/MS880
  12. Is there a problem with the 201T? we dont have any yet, still running the 200.
  13. Took delivery of the A540 a few days ago, awsome machine, would highly recomend, and ive used alot of chippers in my time. Get what you pay for.
  14. If anyones looking to buy one, Norbar are the ones to go for 13049 - NORBAR - TORQUE WRENCH, 330, PROFESSIONAL | Farnell United Kingdom £120 quid for one that will do nearly all chippers under 12" Never buy cheap ones from the local market or budget supermarkets etc they are a waste of money and may cause damage or injury. I get mine calibrated every year and for a laugh we tested one I got from the market when I was a lad, it was 30% out! Norbar allow 5% I think. Even Snapon ones are'nt that great they allow 10% and can't be adjusted or repaired.
  15. Yep even the Heizohack @1005nm yes 1005!
  16. Have any owner/opperators out there using said machine had any problems with the blades losing edge very easily and heavy pitting? , I had two sets both with the same problem.
  17. Another think that made me laugh at the APF were the young ladys at the LogSet stand who know absolutely f***all about Havesters and Forwarders. Do they really think were that shallow? Well im in!!!
