  1. This week I have: X2 MS361 needing pot and piston and one of them needing lots of other parts as its been cannabilised, MS200 with muffler hanging off and not running right, likely to be pump piston, another MS200 needing muffler and a complete side/brake housing expensive in parts that one customer not sure. two rough 084's gonna make a good one out of both, HL75 needing new throttle cable, oh yeah and two Tanaka hedge trimmers for service.
  2. Check the worm drive under the clutch likely to be that. If not blow the pipes out.
  3. I couldn't see any! I'll check again!
  4. Had a problem with the fuel tank on ours expanding more than would be expected to the point where it pushed the belt casing into the fan. G/M sorted it out no problem, their good like that.

    Stihl 084

Has anyone got a complete muffler for the above they would like to part with for an exchange for some folding. I'm doing a rebuild its the only part I haven't got. Thanks.
  6. Woodmizer UK are one of the most unhelpful uninterested company's I've had to deal with for a while, it's a shame because we bought a new LT40. I don't think the yanks would be too impressed if they knew the scale.
  7. I think I might run one on a Stihl pot and piston, and the other on a eBay job, there's a few on there. One of the original barrels split right in two on the horizontal, from a obvious inclusion in the casting, Stihl weren't having any of it under warranty, gits.
  8. I think this thread has been covered before so advance apologies If the answers stay the same, Does anyone know if there are any UK dealers for Meteor parts, I'm after two piston and barrel sets for MS361 (not Stihl's greatest I know!), I'm reluctant to buy Stihl new ones, and even more reluctant to go Chinese after recent advice, there are Meteor pistons on eBay but no barrels. Advice greatly received.
  9. Without being too rude quiet possilble the worst perfroming machine ive ever used.
  10. For that sort of work a 291 will be ideal, you may find the 16" bar will perform better for you on hardwoods, use RS chain for maximum performance

    TrioBrake

just that quote should be a lesson to many who think that using a chain brake after almost every cut is for wusses or not always necessary ! Once you start it becomes second nature and you forget your doing it.
  12. Some of our chip going to go to Drax now, Im Going to have to charge for tipping of chip, the crux of the problem seems to be the UK cannot produce enough chip.
  13. I did find our Rayco finger teeth used to come loose when the correct torque was used. So have to do the tighter now.
  14. Never heard of that one. Good tip.
  15. of the top of my head I think it's around 220-240 NM, I'd need to check a manual, on the teeth point it doesn't make too much odds really on most grinders and dealing with most size stumps, normally a difference will only be noticed on big machines and large wooly stumps.
  16. I think Jensen are more involved with this machine than is let on.
  17. A 7" turntable will be a long way off I expect, it's a complete redesign of the machine as the engine is side mounted as opposed to in line non turntable.
  18. From what I could see almost the same as Jensen which is good thing, they've sorted a few niggley problems the Jensens had, apart from still no having a fuel gauge or an easily accessible fuel tank! Arrrgh, these were first machines of the line, I hear they maybe trying to get round these!
  19. If its steel weld or braze it, if its plastic, get a tank patch kit from Halfords Halfords | Plastic Padding Leak Fix If done properly this'll do the trick.
  20. Ive seen it on a demo, I think it comes down to price with this one, they're a bit cheaper than a Jensen, Looks a good solid machine from what I could see.
  21. I've learnt a lot on this thread, thank you chaps.
  22. Just ordered this one, fingers crossed!
