  1. On our new Ifor tipper I cut off the mesh and riveted aluminium sheet to the frames. It looks rather 'chique' as well as an excellent place for extra advertising. Ty
  2. At the Green Tortoise hostel in down town San Fran back in 2009 I had an offer from to blow the road dust out of me anally... I changed rooms after that. Ty
  3. I think the air filter systems on some machines are inadequate. A pre-filter for large particles should be a must. Our Carlton 4012 is a good example. Radiator and air filter right above the working head in a cloud of dust and chips. Ty
  4. Anally, along with the 2 rad cores. Grinder air filter gets done after every job in the summer when the air is full of yellow clay dust. Grease is an obsession, blades mostly every 25 hours and teeth sharpened on grinder before they require a mornings work... Engine oil every 150hrs. A man needs a hobby after all... Ty
  5. Bandit HB20 bearings are the same design. You do indeed just twist the bearing out although it can seem to be a bit of a Chinese puzzle. Ty
  6. 55 hours a year...? You only work weekends or what? Ty:biggrin:
  7. I'll read it too you over a mug of Horlicks before bed. Ty
  8. I have no memory of this place... Gandalf
  9. A very topical dig at the current law enforcement policy of: 'shoot black ask questions never' Quote: "Because Thor is white, he eventually ended up alive in the cop car and not dead on the ground." Ty
  10. An associate runs a 2014 model. I like using it, it is quiet and makes small neat chips. The only 2 issues have been a broken throttle linkage and cylinder head cover on the Vanguard engine but that is down to Briggs not G.M. Excellent machine all round. Ty
  11. I think your very rude Mr Newton and you should consider the younger members of this parish before you post your medical history. Ty:biggrin:
  12. Hey, we could crowd fund Adam and kickstart his new direction. We could own his lilly white ass as well as his chipper! Ty
  13. I don't like it, Mike Dempsey agreeing with me, he's up to something... Probably wants to borrow a fiver... Ty
  14. Adam, what on earth where you doing aged 14 in the arb world? Just because you ache a little is no reason to give up eh? Why don't you build a team, a business around you and bring on others to climb whilst taking the role of management, own best groundy, stumpgrinder on remote control. I have always been a mediocre climber but know how to employ those better than I and make a coin off their backs. Chin up! Ty
  15. I might Ebay my free sawdust/animal bedding and rakings/kindling... The stump 'sur place' require a different marketing strategy... Ty
  16. I charge delivery at 1euro per km. This covers fuel wage cost.. just. Ty
  17. Go to the Gov.co.uk web site. Mileage for vans and cars is a flat 45p per mile. Here in Frenchy France it's far more complicated but fairer. Down to your vehicles HP as well as kms travelled. Ty
  18. I send a FB link out to every web enquiry. I update our FB page weekly even daily so it's a good shop window for our business. Ty
  19. No, you wrong there, they are a CHUFFING pig to get out! Ty
  20. Think about bicycle tubes. These can be the thickness of an A4 sheet in the middle section however cold drawn steel is a different proposition to soggy poplar fibres. Ty
  21. I quoted for that job, now you've pinched my sticks I'm gonna give you a dry slap and mock your Midlands accent:001_tt2: Nah, I have an interest in architecture especially cob buildings such as those in the images. Ty
  22. Now we have the advantage of having a resistograph in the company which is used before climbing to test poplars we suspect to be a risk. We've had some 30m+ pops in urban gardens with as little as 5cm wall thickness. Often a chat with the neighbours, the removal of a few metres of fence and the promise of a thorough tidy up/free prune will allow us to fell instead of dismantle. Ty
  23. If you can't handle a flat file then how on earth are you going to change your shearbars...? Ty Have you done it yet?
  24. Those images look like East Central Brittany judging by the architecture, Where are you based? Regards Ty
  25. If I was buying mine... I'd run her up and have the rollers turning for 15min then look for any hydro fluid leaking underneath the bottom roller. Tyres, wear even? Turntable locking catch, good nick or cracked? Fuel tank, bulged? Anvils harder to check but worth looking at as point of negociation as turning will cost you a few hours work. Ask for the service schedule if any. Good luck, they are great machines all round. Ty
