    If the trees are marked on a 'plan cadastre' as a wooded area or a talus/hedgerow then 'defrichage' clear felling of large native hardwoods requires permission in the form of a 'declaration preable' This is rare. I've had a handfull in all my years here. Also, some trees may be shared ownership, this is another issue all together. Just be 100% certain that any trees on the limit of the property ARE indeed your clients. This crops up often. Bon chance and enjoy your working holiday full in the knowledge your not paying company tax at 30% French social charges of 50% plus income tax on whatever is left...BLEH! Ty

    It looks factory finish and took an easy 2hrs to cut off and rivet on the sheet. I see little reason to make more of a meal than necessary. You also need to learn to distinguish between profit and turnover... Ty

    On our new Ifor tipper I cut off the mesh and riveted aluminium sheet to the frames. It looks rather 'chique' as well as an excellent place for extra advertising. Ty

    I think the air filter systems on some machines are inadequate. A pre-filter for large particles should be a must. Our Carlton 4012 is a good example. Radiator and air filter right above the working head in a cloud of dust and chips. Ty

    Anally, along with the 2 rad cores. Grinder air filter gets done after every job in the summer when the air is full of yellow clay dust. Grease is an obsession, blades mostly every 25 hours and teeth sharpened on grinder before they require a mornings work... Engine oil every 150hrs. A man needs a hobby after all... Ty

    Bandit HB20 bearings are the same design. You do indeed just twist the bearing out although it can seem to be a bit of a Chinese puzzle. Ty

    An associate runs a 2014 model. I like using it, it is quiet and makes small neat chips. The only 2 issues have been a broken throttle linkage and cylinder head cover on the Vanguard engine but that is down to Briggs not G.M. Excellent machine all round. Ty

Why don't you build a team, a business around you and bring on others to climb whilst taking the role of management, own best groundy, stumpgrinder on remote control. I have always been a mediocre climber but know how to employ those better than I and make a coin off their backs. Chin up! Ty

    I charge delivery at 1euro per km. This covers fuel wage cost.. just. Ty

    Go to the Gov.co.uk web site. Mileage for vans and cars is a flat 45p per mile. Here in Frenchy France it's far more complicated but fairer. Down to your vehicles HP as well as kms travelled. Ty

    Think about bicycle tubes. These can be the thickness of an A4 sheet in the middle section however cold drawn steel is a different proposition to soggy poplar fibres. Ty
