  1. seems to like growing in gravel too!!
  2. not sure euc would be on my list, one question to ask is do they want it looking like a hedge or all natural and undulating etc, no point planting nice looking trees to try a make a hedge and no point try to get hedging to look natural if you get my point. 5m height is a fair bit from maintenance point of view. make sure there is machinery access if your planting big!!
  3. not quiet sure whether your takin the piss or did you actually think it was crap??!!
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHb6rNsm-AA lovin this.
  5. ever tried comms??! the difference is night and day, think old skool nokia phone texting compared to face to face talking.
  6. we had somthing pretty similar, worked well, somtimes problems in the wet and trying to connect more than 3 people was a bit hit and miss, but over all ok.
  7. i used this set up with my knee asscender, it worked well.
  8. well i did the job i wanted, happy enough with it, my sds wouldnt of touched it, a good bit more bang out if it in hammer mode, thanks again for the replies. carl
  9. my kids love it, basically hangman
  10. well i bought it today, it does feel cheap, but i guess at 130 euro!!! thats fair enough. i wont use it much, i just wanted to stop using my metabo sds too much in hammer mode. thanks for replies, il let you know what i think once i use it.
  11. anyone use one of these? hoping to take tough cement render of a small area. i have a nice sds drill but its not up to it and i dont want to kill it. i have rented a big boy bosch one that flew through it but im wondering if this might work okish for the money as i dislike hiring if i can help it. thanks Titan 7.7kg Electric SDS Max Drill 230-240V - Screwfix WWW.SCREWFIX.IE Order Titan 7.7kg Electric SDS Max Drill 230-240V at Screwfix.ie. 12. are trying to warm up the loft or the house? i find pir board easy to use and you can always use expanding foam for any gaps. some of the pir board manufactures websites have technical drawings on the use of their products. i think the extra board on the underside of the rafters is recommended and one could use an insulated plasterboard slab for a more room like appearance although heavier and more expensive obviously.
  13. ive got a citroen berlingo van, i love it, big enough for my gear, will tow a small trailer and pretty good on diesel, just wish it was the one with three seats in the front. in fairness i think the op is the only one who can really answer his question based on his needs.
  14. are the 6x2 exposed down below in the garage? could you put another 6x2 across the corner into new wall plates to support the others? could you prop from below? also as its in a corner the floor should be strong there. best to get a good builder to take a look.

    346xp no spark

panic over!!! chucked in a different plug and it fired up fine, i have never had a spark plug fail like that, so i assumed the worst and thought the piston had gone or something. as always thanks for your help, carl
  16. iam always surprised by how neat and trimmed all the verges are in france, its up to the individual landowners here, so some cut, some wild some just smashed up with a digger!
  17. my 346 died mid cut today,at first i thought it had died completely, but at home i noticed it didn't have a spark, i havent tried a new plug yet. all the wires around the magneto have fairly gooey sheaths, is there a way of going over it with a multimeter to try and pin point the problem? thanks carl
  18. dont know much about road bikes really, but have you looked second hand ? could get better bike for your money if it has been maintained but components can add up if you have to replace them. try some out in a local bike shop, or not sure where you are based but when i was looking at an mtb bike some of the direct selling brands in germany were very hard to beat on value for money, and seemed to be able to ship to ireland no problem. radon bikes, canyon bikes are a couple of brands, i recon they do road bikes but not 100%. carl
  19. all depends on ground type and root size, id say 100 should be easly achieved.
  20. i have a 346 and love it but i couldnt honestly tell much difference between it and a 550, that said if i was offered a choice of either new id go 346. i would echo luxs comments on newer build, i bought a small husky strimmer on the back of my old one doing me well, the new one feels terrible, so much plastic, i wouldnt be surprised if the engine was some sort of plastic, now it strims ok but the revs and power is very odd compared to other strimmers i have used. now the 254 i have has some metal in it! and cuts great for a bit then plays up and goes back in the van, still for its age it cuts well.
  21. pretty windy here now, worse up north, gone to a red warning!!
  22. just curious why you find a 346xp better than a 550?
  23. thats were SRT is good , tie into enough dubious anchors and it becomes a good anchor.......i think?!!!
  24. failing that, the failing that the rope runner pro is a good alternative imo
  25. well i tried it this evening and it started and ran perfectly! but ive not had many things fix themselves so i shall try your ideas if i need too. thanks carl
