  1. you always loose more than you catch, try using an old c/saw to smoke em out it makes em a bit dopey and not as quick, but you might have to dig em. it gets messy with a few dogs all pulling at one rat. good for a laugh though!!! best ratting day was 102 rats with 4 dogs on a pig farm we then went back at night and shot another 30 odd with the air rifles

  19. are you saying that you have never had a close call or even an accident. i too take all the necessary safety precautions but you still get accidents happening, thats why they are accidents.
  20. afag. Aboricultural and forestry advisory group along with hse produce industry best practice. from which we get the rules! Lantra/ nptc simply supply the industry with training and assessment. i dare say they have a fair bit of imput, and yes it is expensive.
  21. your not seeing the bigger picture. if you have an accident, god forbid, lets say you drop a log on a member of public or even one of your groudies. if its serious hse will get involved if you have'nt got the relevent paper work for the task your undertaking your basically in the s..t . you probable wont be covered by your insurance either. hse recognise nptc/lantra.
