  1. If ever there was better evidence for the need for training and assessments. I was disapointed the old guy did'nt turn up in his unimog with fancy remote controled crane.
  2. FOR SALE - 1 used scaffolders harness, would suit budding tree surgeon + 1 GQ parrashutes tree climbing harness ideal for DIY bollock surgery. LOL:scared1:

  14. the trailer should be either in tow or if slowing or descending it should be pushing which in turn should activate the brakes so as not to push the towing vehicle, the jolt is normaly caused by slack in the breaking system, if as you say the breakes are good check wieght distribution, ie load over axles if poss. the only other thing to check is tyre pressure.
  15. get the breaks adjusted up. that is i presume it jolts when you gear down or apply the breaks:confused1:

  21. yes thats it, a refresher course. thats just what i need an instructor to show me how to climbe a tree using 3 ply rope and prusiks. i cant keep abreast of all thease modern tecniques.lol:001_tongue: does anyone have a willans T22 i can borrow.

Like many people on arbtalk im used to using mechanical climbing aids, but today i needed to use a secondary long line anchor point and decided to use a blakes hitch. i could'nt believe it, for the life in me i could'nt tie one, i climbed using a blakes for about two years so you'd think it would be inprinted on the brain. im now practising the knots that should be second nature:ohmy: anyone else had this problem or am i becoming senile.
